Green Arrow Duck was silent for a moment, then suddenly turned to Bullhead and asked, "Can we take the elevator?"

"It was fixed, but because too many arrogant guys took the elevator to the rooftop, Professor X secretly had the main elevator shut down. Now, if you want to go up, you have to take the stairs. Even the X-Men themselves have to."

"So, that's it." Green Arrow Duck grinned mischievously. But then he beckoned to Alice. "Ms. Abernathy." Though puzzled, Alice stepped forward. "How is it?"

He extended his flippers, gesturing for someone to step on them. "Those willing to cooperate with the research always receive some preferential treatment. Besides, I don't want to conduct tests when your heart rate is high and you're fatigued."

Independent and accustomed to being alone, Alice didn't think much of it. Stepping on the Duck Plushie's webbed feet, she grabbed its free arm, and the Green Arrow Duck, carrying the girl and the Zombies, flew straight into the stairwell.

Bullhead didn't know anyone else, so he didn't greet them and just followed.

Ada Wong and Jill Valentine were left dumbfounded, the latter still holding Dr. Ashford's daughter, Angela Ashford. Jill Valentine murmured, "How tall is this building?"

Although it wasn't necessarily a question directed at herself, Ada Wong still responded to the question. "From the outside, it looks like at least sixteen or seventeen stories." The two women, exchanging glances, suddenly realized that they didn't get along very well. They both turned their heads away, looking elsewhere. But then they both turned back at the same time, looking at the dimly lit stairwell, and couldn't help but sigh.

"That damned guy!" "That bastard!"

Having said similar things, the two exchanged a complicated look. Then, with a "humph," they turned their heads away.

Jill Valentian hadn't forgotten she was holding a little girl's hand. She crouched down, looking the twelve-year-old girl in the eye. "Angela, are you sure you can manage climbing these stairs? I know it might be tiring, but the people at the top are the ones who can truly protect you and reunite you with your father. Let's climb up together, slowly, okay?"

Knowing full well the limits of her power, Jill Valentine didn't believe she could bring down a giant corporation like Umbrella Corporation with just a few words. Regardless of whether what Green Arrow Duck said about Stark Industries was true, at least the X-Men were present. With them there, Angela's safety should be guaranteed, and Umbrella Corporation should pay the price they deserve.

Angela Ashford is long past the age of being naive. While it's inappropriate to travel with strangers after being separated from her father, at least they are still living people, not man-eating Monster.

Furthermore, during her observation while following along, Angela Ashford recognized who the key player in the team was. Kids are the most astute when it comes to these things; don't think they don't understand anything.

When children are alone, they naturally gravitate towards those who are more successful and seek to improve their own chances of survival. So, in such situations, no matter how tired you are, you should try to climb the stairs.

Ada Wong, however, began to seriously assess the importance of what was happening above. Should she leave and spy elsewhere? Unfortunately, nothing in this city seemed more important than what was unfolding on the rooftop of this building. Unless she could infiltrate the army sealing off the city and uncover the mastermind and their destination.

So, despite her helplessness, Ada Wong could only keep climbing. At the same time, she sorted through the various pieces of information she had received that day and kept verifying other intelligence in her mind, trying to piece together the whole story more completely.

The Green Arrow Duck flew straight to the top floor, put Alice down first, and then opened the door to the stairwell.

The once quiet rooftop of the building is now much more lively. In particular, the people wearing grass-green camouflage military uniforms moving around are quite conspicuous.

"What's going on? We've been recruited?" Green Arrow Duck asked the Bullhead who was following behind.

"No."

"I thought with Professor X around, he wouldn't easily discuss cooperation with the military."

"Actually, we're collaborating with civilian scientists invited by the military, not with the military itself. There's a difference." Following the direction the Bullhead Mecha was pointing, Green Arrow Duck saw Betty Thaddeus Ross and Gwen Stacy, who were discussing something with Jean Grey in front of a computer screen.

Bullhead added, "The other soldiers were just extras to those two. Although Betty Thaddeus Ross claims she didn't ask the U.S. military to do anything, I think we all know what really happened."

It's safe to say that she truly lives up to her reputation as the daughter of General Thaddeus General Ross, a four-star general. Betty Thaddeus Ross doesn't need to make any demands or have the authority to command U.S. military; these soldiers will willingly and proactively cooperate.

Jean Grey, noticing Green Arrow Duck's return, approached with a displeased expression. "Any good news? Why are you carrying a Zombies?" "Oh, I ran into him downstairs. He just turned into a zombie five minutes ago. I wanted to test if I could revive him with the Antidote."

After explaining, Green Arrow Duck handed the Zombies to Bullhead. "Do me a favor and help me restrain him. There's a chance he can still be saved, so be gentle and don't hurt him. I'll go prepare the Antidote."

"Okay." Bullhead took the wriggling Zombies with one hand, and understood why Green Arrow Duck didn't just break his arms and legs, but let him struggle. He went to the side to find an empty hospital bed and tied the guy up with chains.

Hearing that there was Antidote, Jean Grey's expression softened slightly. "This seems to be rare good news. However..." She watched Green Arrow Duck walk towards the bioreactor next to the Chemical Reaction Synthesizer. "You only got the formula?"

"Yes, I only found information about Umbrella, including research data on what they named the virus and its Antiviral Serum, but I couldn't find the actual Antidote. Fortunately, I brought a bioreactor, so we should be able to synthesize it."

The Chemical Reaction Synthesizer and bioreactor brought by the Green Arrow Duck both incorporate technology from the Kree Technology Universal Manufacturing Machine; they represent a significant advancement compared to equipment on Earth.

However, the complete Kree universal manufacturing machine still needs some materials and raw materials for the medicine, and it's unclear where on Earth they can be found, so it can't be built yet, and even if it were, it wouldn't be usable.

One major advantage of the current bioreactor version is that it eliminates the need to create different equipment details for different output projects; one machine has a wide range of applications, and the production of Antiviral Serum for viruses is basically within the capabilities of this machine.

As the machine began operating, with an estimated completion time of twenty minutes, Green Arrow Duck turned to Jean Grey. "I heard from the soldiers downstairs that someone in the X-Men has been infected. What happened?" Before Jean Grey could answer, Betty led Gwen over and extended her hand. "Hello, I'm Professor Betty Professor Ross from Culver University's Cell Biology department. This is my student, Gwen Stacy. And you are?"

"Mr. Duck." Green Arrow Duck didn't reach out to greet him, but simply wagged in front of himself as a hello.

"Obviously, isn't it?" Since they weren't very close, not close enough to shake hands, Betty Thaddeus Ross naturally lowered her hand without any awkwardness. Her gaze, however, was rather intriguing.
