Looking at the sheer number of Zombies, and seeing no particularly unusual species among the horde, only basic models Green Arrow Duck, who had initially been somewhat tense due to the Little Bug's loud shouts, simply said, "Okay, I know. You can come back now."

"What do you mean I need to come back? Didn't you see the huge crisis? Oh, of course you couldn't see it..." Spider-Man said dejectedly, suddenly realizing his grammatical error.

Green Arrow Duck retorted, "I've seen the situation on your end through satellite imagery. I'll notify the military guarding downstairs at the base and have them prepare."

"But wouldn't it be very dangerous to let these Zombies get close to the people?"

"Of course it's dangerous, but only if they can get close. To be honest, William Wallace's Highland rebels, while mostly armed with pitchforks, at least know how to charge. Where do you see the threat of Zombies against modern forces?"

"Hmm... they bite?"

Green Arrow Duck was utterly helpless with the easily distracted, hyperactive Little Bug. "Mr. Spider-Man, I think you'd better come back soon. I've found research data about the virus at the Umbrella Corporation's secret base."

"If we can produce the right Antiviral Serum soon and release it into the air of Raccoon City to forcibly kill all the viruses and cure the infected, the whole thing will be solved."

"You're not going to tell me we have to capture all those Zombies and find a way to cure them, are you? Or are there living hostages inside, so we can't use heavy firepower?"

"What If...? neither of the above applies, then they're just a bunch of moving targets. Do you want to waste your time on those hopeless corpses, or do you want to quickly save those who still have a chance to survive?"

Despite his immense strength, Spider-Man, still a light infantryman, said somewhat uncertainly, "Can we really just ignore them?" Green Arrow Duck, sitting in front of the computer, prepared to begin research on the virus and Antiviral Serum. He said, "Of course we have to deal with them. But even if we have to fight, let them come and fight us."

"At their speed, it'll take them about an hour to get here. By then, it'll be daylight, and visibility will be better." Moreover, I discovered from satellite imagery that there are other small hordes of Zombies in other locations. These Zombies are also constantly being attracted by the Rabbit Armor bait, and it seems they're preparing to converge. "Instead of running around like crazy, it's better to have the mastermind collect the trash for us and deal with it all at once. This is much easier than trying to lure all the Zombies out ourselves; at least someone else will do the work."

"Besides, which is easier: rushing over to eliminate them, or setting up suitable ambush positions and waiting for them to tire themselves out? You should be able to figure that out, Mr. Spider-Man. I don't expect you to have read any Eastern military treatises, but you should at least have some common sense."

Spider-Man, used to being a loner, never imagined things could be solved this way. He simply crouched on the edge of the building's rooftop, watching the Zombies surge forward like a tide below; one hand pressed against his earpiece, though he could still make a call without it. His thoughts were quite complex.

At the makeshift base, Green Arrow Duck took out an empty Tablet computer and displayed a map of Raccoon City around their location. After making some markings, he got up and went to find Betty Thaddeus Ross.

This American woman is with Gwen Stacy, examining a man who, shortly after turning into Zombies, was injected with Antiviral Serum and whose condition appears to have improved.

"Professor Ross," Green Arrow Duck approached and greeted him.

"Is there anything I can do to help you, Mr. Duck?" Seeing the Duck Plushie approaching, Betty Thaddeus Ross, though suspicious, knew this wasn't the time to test its identity. So, she remained indifferent and distant.

At the same time, Jean Grey, with the awakened Rogue in tow, approached. Her purpose, of course, was also to examine the Zombies man who had been injected with the Antiviral Serum. "Professor Ross."

"Ms. Grey, Rogue. Are you feeling better?" Betty Thaddeus Ross asked the girl who had just woken up.

"I'm much better now. Thank you for your concern, Professor Ross," the Rogue said calmly, as if his previous appearance, almost assimilated by the virus, was fake.

Seeing Rogue Green Arrow Duck emerge from behind the mischievous creature, the gaze lingered on the Mutants for a moment longer. Was she truly unaffected by contact with the Kryptonian? Or did her ability automatically block out aliens?

"What do you want?" Jean Grey's words were fine, but her tone was somewhat curt as she addressed Green Arrow Duck, who had also approached. Handing the Tablet to Betty Thaddeus Ross, Green Arrow Duck spoke to Jean Grey first, "What If...? you heard my conversation with Spider-Man on the channel, you should know what I'm about to say. What If...? you didn't, listen in too."

Then, turning to Betty Thaddeus Ross, he said, "Professor, please inform the military. We just received new intelligence from Spider-Man- Man that a large number of Zombies are being deliberately lured towards our location."

Upon hearing the introduction, Betty Thaddeus Ross immediately beckoned to a nearby U.S. military soldier, calling him over to listen to the Duck Plushie's explanation. "Our plan is to wait for the Zombies to get close before annihilating them in one fell swoop. The final line of fire is one block away, and I plan to launch attacks on the Zombies from these positions."

Green Arrow Duck drew a line on the Tablet, marked several dots, and then drew an arrow pointing towards the Zombies horde.

"Based on my calculations, the Zombies are scheduled to arrive at the ambush line at 5:40 AM. It's still dark, so we have about an hour to prepare."

"The U.S. military can verify intelligence and decide on its own strategy. We just hope it won't hinder our operations. The same applies to the Mutants; you decide what to do, I won't interfere."

Betty Thaddeus Ross handed the Tablet to the soldier she had summoned. "Please inform Lieutenant Colonel Spaar of this intelligence."

"Yes, ma'am." The soldier took the Tablet and went downstairs to inform their commander.

"Are there many Zombies?" Betty Thaddeus Ross asked casually.

"Not many, roughly estimated at close to a thousand. The epidemic hasn't spread to an irreversible point yet, so the number of Zombies they can collect is limited. It's possible they deliberately killed quite a few living people to form such an army of the Deadman."

Betty Thaddeus Ross, who wasn't particularly concerned about numbers, frowned upon hearing the Duck Plushie's explanation and asked, "Is someone really manipulating all of this? Why do they have to wipe us out? Don't they know that eliminating this U.S. military will only invite more troops?"

Betty Thaddeus Ross might not be very familiar with the habits of the U.S. military, but she knew her father's character well. If anyone dared to harm Thaddeus Ross's men, this old-school soldier would do everything in his power to protect them and avenge the dead. Green Arrow Duck shrugged. "Who knows what these people are up to? If everyone acted rationally, the world would be at peace long ago."
