At Sunrise
"Ah, where did that Zombies horde go?" Snapping out of his research on the Antiviral Serum, Spider-Man's first concern was the horde of Zombies he had discovered.
The sky was just beginning to lighten in the distance. Green Arrow Duck pointed in the direction Spider-Man had spotted the Zombies horde, and faint shadows could be seen moving on the horizon between the buildings.
"It's about the same time I predicted for arrival; we can already see the vanguard of the Zombies army."
Completely different from the tense atmosphere during their earlier conversation on the communication channel, Spider-Man now looked at the estimated completion time of the bioreactor while gazing at the distant horde of Zombies. "Will we be able to use this Antiviral Serum in time?"
Looking at Spider-Man, who was eager to prove himself and make the newly produced Antiviral Serum work, Green Arrow Duck tried to persuade him to give up the idea. "Let's stick to the original plan and fight the Zombies."
"Once the Antiviral Serum is ready, we'll have to figure out how to contain the Zombies and hold out until it's finished. In the face of a potentially Antiviral Serum crisis, when there are clearly better methods, are you really going to let everyone risk their lives for this?"
They say the best defense is a good offense. What If...? we're forced to stand there and take hits for some nonsensical reason, without fighting back. And it doesn't even need to be long, just thirty seconds. Guess which would you attack first: the Little Bug or the Zombies?
"Yes, it's definitely not suitable." In Spider-Man's heart, saving lives ultimately comes first.
Because the deadline Green Arrow Duck had mentioned earlier was approaching, Cyclops, Storm, and other new and old X-Men members all rushed back. Ada Wong and Jill Valentine, some temporary companions Green Arrow Duck had met on the way, also joined them. Alice, however, seemed dazed, floating and swaying as she walked over.
Apart from Bonnie Mech and Green Arrow Duck, the rest of the Animal Squad had already arrived at the designated ambush location and were waiting.
One major drawback of Multi-Directional Combat Rounds is their short range, making them unable to engage targets beyond visual range. However, if you stand on a building rooftop and fire downwards, hordes of Zombies become easy targets.
As the first rays of dawn shone on the rooftop of the building housing the temporary base, Green Arrow Duck was preparing to head to its designated position to launch the first wave of attack in conjunction with the Animal Squad's Mecha. Suddenly, a painful scream drew everyone's attention. Amidst the sacred atmosphere of welcoming the morning Sun Pharma, as if receiving a new life, Rogue was clutching its ears, crouching on the ground in agony. "Stop making noise! Don't talk! Where are these sounds coming from?"
The girl's hysterical state, while not resembling that of patients on the verge of turning into Zombies, still evoked a sense of Shocker, perhaps even more so.
Only the Green Arrow Duck realized what it had overlooked: the Yellow Sun sunlight...
Rogue's Mutants abilities allowed her to copy the Kryptonian powers. The reason they hadn't manifested before was, of course, because it was the middle of the night and there was no sunlight.
Now, under the Yellow Sun sunlight, the Kryptonian ' abilities are unleashed all at once. Those who are unprepared are bombarded with a massive amount of visual, auditory, and olfactory information, and even well-trained warriors would be forcibly controlled for a while, let alone a high school girl like Rogue.
"Anna, calm down." Professor X, concerned for his student, tried to soothe the Rogue by entering her Mind Stone. And then... unsurprisingly, he was taken down for the third time...
It turns out that the Kryptonian brain isn't something a Mind Stone can come and go as they please. But this isn't really my fault, Green Arrow Duck thought to himself.
Almost everyone was baffled by the Rogue's change. The most worried were the girl's classmates. The veteran X-Men had to worry extra about Professor X's condition, and for a moment they didn't know whether to care for the older ones or the younger ones.
Only those who witnessed Green Arrow Duck touching Rogue's skin with its bare hands placed their suspicions on this humanoid Duck Plushie.
However, even ignoring the stares directed at him, Green Arrow Duck couldn't simply leave Rogue unattended. Her condition clearly indicated that her Kryptonian powers had awakened all at once, and if left unchecked, it was unimaginable what kind of destruction she would cause.
Just as they were about to get closer, they saw that the girl's eyes were filled with an ominous red light, and her long brown and white hair was flowing freely without wind, making her look as majestic and ferocious as a ravenous lion.
Seeing this, Green Arrow Duck was terrified. They'd even copied this power he couldn't control? Ignoring the impending danger, before the X-Men could react, Green Arrow Duck used his Micro-hover System to quickly glide behind Rogue, pick him up from behind, and carry him to the edge of the rooftop.
Of course, this distance didn't give the impression that he wanted to push the girl in his arms off the stairs; Green Arrow Duck just wanted to make sure that there was no one else in front of him and Rogue.
Standing on the edge of the rooftop and looking out, the straight street was lined with towering buildings. The Sun Pharma slowly rose between the buildings, casting its soft yellow Sun Pharma on the Mutants who had gained Kryptonian powers. On the street, however, Zombies surged in like a tide.
Green Arrow Duck whispered in Rogue's ear, saying... the original erotic novel content of "Fifty Shades of Grey." It was a carefully selected collection of scenes that would get your blood pumping, even before the book was published.
The Kryptonian hadn't forgotten how they fired their first Heat Vision. Sure enough, even the Mutants female with the ability to copy, after copying the Kryptonian's abilities, couldn't escape some basic physiological principles.
Furthermore, Green Arrow Duck's vocalizations are chosen from a special frequency that is most effective at stimulating Kryptonian hearing and can influence brain function. This is a physiological weakness that was discovered during reflection after being tricked by the Mastermind.
Those scenes that would make a woman blush, even if they didn't linger in the Rogue's conscious mind amidst the deluge of information, subconsciously influenced her physical behavior. Her eyes, glowing red, seemed about to overflow.
The next instant, Rogue unleashed his first Kryptonian -style Heat Vision forward! Its attack range was comparable to the size of a bus. With Green Arrow Duck intentionally or unintentionally propping up the back of his head and controlling the direction of Rogue's eyes, this massive Heat Vision shot towards the Zombies horde on the street, sweeping backwards along its path.
The immense force even burned through the asphalt and ignited the gas pipelines buried beneath the road. A massive explosion ensued, running along the gas pipelines, leaving the Zombies caught in a pincer attack and utterly annihilated.
Then, as if exhausted, Rogue closed his eyes and collapsed into Green Arrow Duck's arms. Had he entered a state of post-coital calm?
The Green Arrow Duck extended its sampling probe with its Rogue's ear. The probe successfully pierced the skin, indicating that the Kryptonian's Steel Body had disappeared?
... Is this a way of squandering all of the Kryptonian's power in one go? Or has the mutant ability finally found an opportunity to shut down the copied power? Green Arrow Duck, deeply curious about the girl's ability mechanics, pondered this. He retrieved the collected blood and skin samples into his body for preservation. Although he hadn't thought of anything to do with them yet, since he'd already collected them, he shouldn't waste them. However, whether it was the Mecha's internal channel or the X-Men, the bio-engineered girls, and Spider-Man standing on the rooftop, everyone was asking the same question, "Hmm, should we still fight?"
The Green Arrow Duck mascot's expression turned awkward. "Maybe we should go patrol it; there might even be some moving Zombies."
