Translating Kree Script
"Can this device translate text?" Black Super grabbed the other person's arm and examined the wristband.
The defeated Kree warrior was merely stubborn. When questioned by the unknown figure before him, he honestly replied, "Through the translator, I can understand the writing systems of all civilizations in the universe."
This was clearly not the answer Black Super wanted. He had no choice but to ask again, "Do you have a comparison table? Or a dictionary or something, for Kree language and... the script of the planet C53 you're talking about?"
"Why would we need something like that?" the Kree, puzzled.
Okay, that's a bit of an oversimplification on Black Super. Advanced technological civilizations have Universal Translator that can solve all communication problems, so why would they need to learn a language?
Black Super and asked, "So how do I use this thing?" As he spoke, he began to peel off the Kree's wristband.
The Kree quickly protected his equipment, saying, "You can't use this. Only those with Kree blood can activate its functions."
Just as he was about to ask why Carol Danvers could use it, he remembered that she had been transfused by the Kree. So, Black Super stopped dwelling on that point.
Take future mobile phones, for example, with password locks, fingerprint unlocks, and facial recognition unlocks. Kree equipment is restricted to personal use; what's wrong with that?
Instead of wasting time cracking it, Black Super picked up the still-alive guy, brought him to the restarted mainframe screen, pointed to the text on it, and said, "What does this line mean?"
"What do you mean?"
The Kree aren't like cats or Tiger with a scruff of the neck to grab onto, so Black Super simply grabbed the other person by the scruff of the neck and lifted them up. Since he was going to lift them, he couldn't let them slip, so the pressure in his fingers couldn't be too weak.
This also meant not knocking the other person unconscious or killing them, and of course, not breaking their neck. Because he couldn't gauge the Kree's physical strength, Black Super treated the poor creature in his hand like a test subject, loosening his grip before killing it.
So the Kree under the control of the Black Super man were terrified. Even their voices were filled with fear, and they were on the verge of crying.
Seeing the guy in his hand on the verge of collapse, Black Super gave a more direct instruction. "Read all the text on the screen. Wherever I point, you read it. Don't make mistakes, don't miss anything, I can hear you."
He then pointed to the text on the screen with his empty finger and had the Kree read it aloud.
After reading the content of one screen, the Black Super will enter a certain option, and then let the Kree in his hand read the second screen.
Although the Universal Translator prevented him from knowing how to pronounce the original Kree script, with the help of Super Brain, Black Super quickly deciphered the Kree language.
The Kree language is not a phonetic script like the most widely used alphabetic scripts in the world and by the most diverse cultures. Instead, it is more like the Hangul script of Korean, with consonants and vowels that can be used vertically, horizontally, tilted, or in combination to form a "character," and two or three characters can form a word.
Different words can have one meaning when used as verbs, but completely different meanings when used as nouns. Therefore, when understanding Kree language, one cannot interpret the meaning of a word out of context; one must understand it in the context of the surrounding text, in whole sentences and paragraphs.
Just like in Korean, "ancient temple" and "farewell" are written the same way. Without context, the meaning of these words is impossible to understand. Kree language is a similar case.
The availability of reference points for comparison certainly helped Black Super understand the Kree language. Aside from not yet knowing how to read it, he was gradually beginning to understand the content on the screen.
But even pleasant study time is always interrupted. A high-heat-infused throwing knife, its blade tipped with explosive energy, shoots out from the doorway!
Concentrating on deciphering the text, Black Super almost let his captive take the blow for him. However, at the crucial moment, Black Super managed to throw away the Kree he was holding and dodge the flying knife himself.
"I had no idea a Little Bug had snuck onto the cruiser. Where did you come from, you shameful little thing?"
The people who entered were no longer ordinary Kree soldiers, but elite warriors of the Starforce. This was mainly reflected in their equipment, which was completely different from the general equipment of the regular soldiers.
This was a tall, blue-skinned Kree with a Viking-like beard. Compared to him, most Kree were like monkeys compared to silverback gorillas, demonstrating his immense strength.
He carries many different types of weapons and tools. Considering that some weapons have their blades concealed when stored away for safety, one could consider this man a weapon master, similar to Predator.
With such a seemingly threatening Kree appearing, Black Super could no longer remain engrossed in deciphering the Kree language.
After basking in the Yellow Sun, the Kryptonian can roam freely in the DC Universe. But this is ultimately the Marvel Universe, and Krypton is still a loser in the power struggle within the universe. They shouldn't be careless and risk a major setback.
He took the extendable baton from his waist and swung it to his side! The baton, about the length of his arm, was painted black, matching his all-black outfit perfectly.
Out of respect for the warrior, the opponent did not draw a firearm, but instead took out a club-like weapon. However, the crackling electricity that occasionally crackled around the club indicated that being hit by it would not only cause pain.
"Don't you have a name, Little Bug?"
"Black Super."
"Bron-Char."
They exchanged names, and the battle began!
Bron-Char, like a brown bear, charged forward with astonishing speed, his massive body towering high. His club swung downwards like a mace; even disregarding its energy attack, the mere blows were enough to kill.
With a near-perfect distance, Black Super managed to let the tip of the Kree's baton graz his nose. He then cleverly used his baton to first strike the Kree's inside arm, then hook his knee down, throwing him off balance and sending him flying.
The final blow with the baton was a follow-up smash into the opponent's face, causing him to fall heavily to the ground!
The three moves flowed smoothly and seamlessly together. Bron-Char suffered a significant loss as soon as they clashed.
However, the opposing team was indeed an elite Starforce, and their physiques were far superior to those of the Kree.
Black Super had already increased his strength based on the previous Kree soldiers. But when this combo was used on Bron-Char, although it wasn't as bad as a mosquito bite, it only made him shake his head and get up to fight again.
Black Super certainly didn't have any martial arts spirit or respect for his opponents. He simply wanted to gather as much physical intelligence as possible about the Kree to devise more effective and energy-efficient tactics.
Using a cannon to kill a mosquito might feel good, but it's also incredibly stupid.
But this one didn't seem to be an ordinary Kree; it was unclear whether he possessed any mutant abilities. Unfortunately, Black Super didn't have much time to waste with him.
Because the first prisoner who helped him translate the Kree language had actually sent a distress signal to his companions when he activated the Universal Translator, this is why Bron-Char arrived to provide support so quickly.
Bron-Char was just the first to arrive. Black Super sensed that many more Kree were gathering towards him, so there was no time for the boring game of "fighting it out".
Before Bron-Char could produce a new weapon, Black Super swiftly counterattacked, using his baton to entangle and control the man's arm, then forcefully slamming him against the deck!
The tall, muscular Kree man crashed through the thin deck panel, his body dazed and stuck through the wall, his forehead covered in blue blood.
Under the watchful eye of the Kree prisoner who had been thrown aside earlier, Black Super had already won a great victory, ran away.
