At the bar counter, away from the bartender's seat, two men sat side by side, one in black and one in white. They seemed unrelated, not even making eye contact, but they were actually talking.

"Nick Fury, tell me what happened. This time, you guys have really messed me up." Owen Davis, the assistant director of the FBI office in the Los Angeles area, complained.

Nick Fury, who almost got a mouthful of Molotov cocktail, also looked helpless. "How was I supposed to know you guys would move so quickly, charging in as soon as you found a reason? This kind of reckless behavior isn't something only new recruits on their first battlefield would do."

"Who knew you'd twist the story with a mere 'administrative oversight'? If I didn't know exactly how many hairs were on your ass, I'd suspect you deliberately set a trap for me."

"Fuck! Our relationship isn't that bad. And you know what? Because of that damn 'administrative oversight,' I almost got myself treated like a traitor. You guys just got a little more trouble, but I almost lost my life."

Owen Davis was taken aback. "Damn it, what's going on with you guys? Tell me what's going on. I need to be careful not to fall for the same trick."

Feeling that his old comrade-in-arms wasn't Reason, Nick Fury carefully chose his words. "Due to confidentiality regulations, I cannot go into too much detail."

"What I can tell you is that the enemy found a way to impersonate our personnel and issued irregular orders, causing us to carry out illegal operations, which led to a series of mistakes. Fortunately, the matter was eventually resolved."

What Nick Fury didn't say was that the Skrulls had already left with Carol Danvers, aboard the cruisers left behind by the Kree scientists, to find a new home.

He actually wanted to keep that cruiser, but it was in space, and without Skrulls assistance, he couldn't even get into space.

This doesn't even take into account whether someone could operate that spaceship, which surpasses Earth's technological level, let alone study the technology inside.

However, the Skrulls complained before they left that the research data on the ship, including the encyclopedias they brought from their home planet, had been taken away by the Kree who briefly occupied the ship.

Fortunately, the navigation system was separated from the research lab, which allowed the Kree Cruiser to fly.

This gave Nick Fury a slight sense of relief. None of them had considered the possibility that the data might have been taken by a "third party," and that they could simply pin the blame on the Kree.

The only thing capable of leaving the ground is the Quag, a Skrulls -modified Quinjet. However, that aircraft is now part of S.H.I.E.L.D.. and cannot be used on its own.

Furthermore, Carol Danvers demanded the spaceship, wanting her to take the Skrulls away. Could Nick Fury say no?

Although the Skrulls have left, Nick Fury cannot guarantee that no Skrulls remain on Earth.

He lacked the ability to distinguish the Skrulls disguised as Earthlings. Therefore, he could only remain cautious and share this intelligence with his old comrade in the FBI.

Owen Davis, being a man of the world, immediately asked, "Is he Mutants?"

Nick Fury shook his head in denial. "No. It's not easy for Mutants to find someone with similar abilities. There were quite a few enemies this time, but most of them were killed. But I can't confirm whether anyone has gone into hiding."

Although it's not true, and they say he was killed instead of leaving, they're both no longer on Earth. In any case, Nick Fury is giving a warning in various ways.

"People from the Red Empire? Haven't they been wiped out for years?"

"The regime has collapsed, but the people are still alive." Although the other party guessed wrong, Nick Fury still went along with it. Anyway, they were old rivals, so throwing mud at them wouldn't hurt.

"Yeah, too," Owen Davis said dejectedly.

But as he tapped his fingers on the table, lost in thought, he suddenly said, "Nick Fury, do you think it's possible that those people planted bombs in those information devices? Why would they target Henry Brown?"

"Possibly. I don't know." Hennick Nick Fury downed his bourbon and ordered another from the bartender, replying succinctly.

Did the Skrulls want to bomb Henry Brown?

Following Barbara Morse's return, even after Henry Brown left Maria Rambo's home, he continued to be targeted by the Skrulls.

Nick Fury deduced that it wouldn't be surprising if they launched more mudslinging or assassination attempts. Therefore, planting a bomb in Henry Brown's house was a very real possibility.

But why the Skrulls insisted on killing a Kryptonian remains a mystery.

It's definitely not about grudges on Earth. Nick Fury wants to know about things in the universe, but now he doesn't know who to ask.

"Could it be a competitor to other digital imaging technologies?" Owen Davis speculated from his own perspective.

"Those rich people, whatever they do, it's not surprising, is it?" Although he guessed wrong again, Nick Fury still went along with what was said.

What kind of crimes can a poor wretch commit? At most, he might take a gun, one bullet, one life, and that's it.

But to do something so extravagant and bizarre requires both money and free time; it's simply impossible. Let alone escalating it to a level of commercial competition.

The reason these wealthy people's actions don't make the news is simply because they regularly spend money on media relations to cover their tracks.

But intelligence or police agencies are well aware of the cutthroat competition in the business world, and sometimes they even take a side role in it.

These kinds of trivial matters only challenge the limits of imagination and have nothing to do with Moral bottom lines.

Being constantly asked increasingly probing questions, Nick Fury worried about being asked inappropriate ones. So he struck first, asking, "And you guys? How are you going to clean up this mess?"

Owen Davis stated the conclusion directly. "Mitch Schulhoff is finished."

"Oh, why? Didn't you think about helping each other out, or doing each other a favor?"

After finishing his drink, Owen Davis ordered another and said, "Tony Stark has also made his move. He wants to protect his own men while also taking a big bite out of Sony."

"Even Sony itself doesn't intend to keep Mickey Schulhoten. According to my colleagues who are good at international affairs, Nobuyuki Idei, the newly appointed president of Sony Japan this year, has long wanted to replace this guy."

"It's just that the former president, now CEO Norio Ohga, the Japan who originally appointed him, is still supporting him, which is why he's temporarily kept his position."

"This guy risked everything for his own future. He wanted to acquire Stark Studios ' technology to secure his position. But things went wrong, and we all know what's going to happen next."

Nick Fury asked curiously, "The stuff's all blown up, how can a case still be filed?"

"The wreckage recovered from inside Sony America's Los Angeles building pinned them down. The distinctive appearance of those non-commercial, homemade devices allowed for identification by comparing them to the photos from when we seized them."
