Secrets of the Eternals

The Eternals are special; we are referring to the true Eternals, the first generation directly created by the Celestials.

Instead of living on Titan, they were the Second-Generation Eternals who were wiped out by Thanos.

Because the first generation cannot reproduce among themselves, they can mate with other humanoid intelligent beings to produce the Second-Generation Eternals, after which there are no more restrictions on reproduction. However, these Eternals after the second generation are not recognized by the Celestials.

Although the film describes them as "precision bio-machines," after studying Kingo, Henry genuinely felt that calling them "machines" was blasphemous.

They are living beings.

Henry couldn't find a single mechanical characteristic in any of the physiological examinations. Yet their performance possessed a mechanical precision, so accurate it seemed completely unbelievable for living beings.

For example, Henry asked Kingo to draw a straight line 1 centimeter long without using any tools. He could draw the line perfectly straight by hand, and the length would be exactly as described.

Even if he repeats it a hundred times, a thousand times, or ten thousand times, Kingo can draw a straight line exactly 1 centimeter long freehand. Even if he is disturbed and nudged, Kingo will turn around and continue drawing with the same result.

Of course, in the actual experiment, this expert couldn't possibly cooperate 10,000 times. Henry only tested ten lines and then stopped the experiment.

Henry, with his Super Brain, could certainly achieve the same level of self-control, but this requires a certain degree of concentration. In other words, his performance could be affected by distraction, as demonstrated in past tests.

This reminded Henry of Adam and Eve, created by God in the Bible. In the Bible, they lived to be over nine hundred years old, while the lifespans of their descendants became shorter and shorter.

In retrospect, these "first generation" individuals certainly had something extraordinary about them.

This precision also brought considerable convenience to Henry's research.

Because we need to collect various data on common organisms, we must consider the tolerance for error and then use mathematical and statistical methods for analysis.

However, the Eternals don't have as much error; they don't even have the problem of randomness. The same requirements will bring the same results.

They will only produce different results if the required conditions change. External influences alone are insufficient to disrupt their behavior.

Frankly, many machines produced on Earth cannot achieve such accuracy.

With such advantages, Henry's research on Kingo, an Eternals, regarding his control over Cosmic Energy was much more efficient.

They even gained a deeper understanding of what they called their "talent."

Take Kingo as an example. When he wants to use his ability to attack, as soon as the thought arises, his brain emits brainwaves like a key, mobilizing the Cosmic Energy within his body.

A portion of this Cosmic Energy will first be used to form a conversion device, which is the line and light effect on Kingo's hand.

Subsequent Cosmic Energy can be converted into other forms of energy through this device, and then produce some kind of effect. For example, in the case of Kingo, it would be converted into bullet-like attack energy and fired.

In other words, the Eternals ' abilities are based on two conditions: first, a brain with precise control, and second, the Cosmic Energy.

Simply comparing the brains of Kryptonian and Eternals, Henry believes that the Eternals ' Super Brain are far inferior to those of Kryptonian.

Kingo's learning ability and logical reasoning skills are not particularly outstanding, but his knowledge and experience are rich enough that he can make the right choices based on experience and intuition in many situations.

But when it comes to deriving the unknown, he becomes like a computer, unable to process information.

This is why, faced with Thena's madness Eternals, they couldn't find a more reasonable solution after such a long period of time. They could only choose among three options: restarting, going into seclusion, and letting things run their course.

It is almost unimaginable for humankind to face a disease that has made no progress for three thousand years.

The Cosmic Energy within the Eternals is not like the qi in martial arts novels or the magic power in magical worlds, which is the Void.

Energy that can only be understood intuitively, and is difficult to observe and quantify.

This Cosmic Energy has a very clear origin, namely the mitochondria in the cells of the Eternals.

When Kingo begins to mobilize energy, form a gun shape, and fire, it is at the moment when the mitochondria in the cells of his hand are most active.

The longer he accumulates power, the more mitochondria from cells throughout his body join in, until all the mitochondria in all the cells of his body are mobilized. This is the limit of his ability.

This explains how the Celestials store Cosmic Energy within the Eternals, and how this amount doesn't increase or decrease with growth, nor how it's replenished after being consumed.

Like all machines, the Eternals are at their peak upon entering the battlefield, and then their condition gradually declines.

Unlike humans, their physiological functions do not involve a continuous process of cell depletion and elimination, followed by the generation of new cells from stem cells for replacement.

Perhaps only when they are injured and some cells die will their bodies generate new cells for self-healing. This mechanism reduces cell division and DNA telomere shortening, greatly extending their lifespan.

Because of the unique physical mechanisms of the Eternals, even their blood cells contain nuclei and mitochondria. Furthermore, their blood cells are no longer responsible for transporting oxygen and carbon dioxide.

The lungs of the Eternals are like an energy conversion factory, transforming the absorbed spatial free energy into Cosmic Energy. This energy is then transported throughout the body by blood cells to replenish the mitochondria and store it.

The digestive system does something similar. It transforms the food we eat into the purest form of Cosmic Energy, which is then transported throughout the body by the bloodstream for storage.

Theoretically, the Eternals could survive without air and food, provided the Cosmic Energy consumption is low enough. This is why they can adapt to any environment, including the vacuum of space.

However, they still maintain the habit of eating, which is less a physical need and more a deliberate behavioral pattern shaped to conform to human habits.

The above research results were obtained entirely using Krypton- brand human sensors to obtain relevant data, and a handwritten report was written to let the subjects of the study know exactly what Henry had discovered.

Kingo stared dumbfounded at the Eternals -made full-body health check report for the Krypton.

It even features hand-drawn cross-sectional diagrams of blood cells, skeletal diagrams, internal organ diagrams, and nerve and lymphatic distribution diagrams with the brain as the main subject.

The illustrations were so detailed that they were like copies of pictures from a modern medical textbook. But Kingo knew that these medical diagrams, which differed slightly from those of humans, were indeed the physiological characteristics and details of the Eternals.
