Sound-Absorbing Steel
Henry used a little cleverness here; instead of discussing who should pay the fee, he directly charged three times the amount.
This wasn't considered price gouging; it was offered voluntarily by several powerful members of the Eternals, and Henry simply accepted it with a smile.
Although it violated the ethics of buying and selling, the fresh blood of the Eternals was too tempting, especially since it came from samples of three different individuals. Henry simply couldn't resist taking some.
However, judging from their quick agreement, this illness has indeed been troubling them for a long time. That's why they ignored the offer of a threefold increase in compensation.
However, it's easy to imagine that if they are disappointed, the consequences would likely be dire.
After receiving the reply, Henry smiled and stood up, brushing the dust off his clothes. He said, "Since it's decided, I'll return to United States and make the samples as soon as possible. I'll ask Kingo's butler to send them over."
Gilgamesh said disappointedly, "Can't you do it directly?"
"I just don't have any materials on hand," Henry said helplessly, spreading his hands.
"Materials!" Gilgamesh suddenly remembered something and jumped up, saying, "Wait for me!"
He hurriedly ran back into the house. A moment later, he rushed back, holding a fist-sized, silver-colored object.
There are also stones with a blue, Crystal -like luster mixed in.
Henry was initially taken aback when he saw this self-illuminating stone. Not long ago, he had confidently concluded that there was no Kryptonite in this universe. He never expected that the Eternals would produce it so soon!
What is the purpose of Blue Kryptonite?
Gilgamesh, oblivious to Henry's odd behavior, said, "This is Sound-Absorbing Steel. You just said you wanted to help Thena solve her problem, like absorbing sound. Do you need this material?"
"Sound-Absorbing Steel?" Henry was puzzled at first. Then he suddenly remembered that this thing had other names in the Marvel Universe, such as Vibranium and the famous "Vibranium".
"May I pick it up and take a look?" Henry asked.
Gilgamesh didn't answer; he simply held his hand forward, completely unconcerned about how precious what he held was.
First, he reached out a finger and touched the part radiating blue light. Finding that his abilities didn't change, Henry boldly picked up the Vibranium gem and examined it closely. "Where did you get this?"
"When I was in Africa, someone threw this stone at me. It hurt quite a bit, so I kept it. It's also quite good for throwing at people, so I've kept it until now."
Such an answer is not surprising at all. The first time Henry saw Vibranium, he only had the raw stone, so he naturally examined the metallic properties of this fictional mineral from the Marvel Universe very carefully.
Seeing Henry's serious expression, Gilgamesh excitedly said, "Well, can this material be used? Use it directly, What If...? there's anything left over, it'll be your payment."
Speechless, Henry looked at the three Eternals with expectant faces, sighed helplessly, and said, "Do you know the value of Sound-Absorbing Steel?"
"It doesn't matter, as long as it comes in handy. Just tell me, can it be used?"
Faced with such magnanimity, Henry could only say, "Of course it can be used, even better than I thought."
Henry, having witnessed the properties of the new metal for the first time, naturally had new ideas about the external device that Thena wanted to use.
Henry explained, "What I originally envisioned was something that required energy to operate. So, if I were to replace the battery, I would have to figure it out before I could assess the level of power consumption."
"But now, using this Sound-Absorbing Steel requires a lot of design readjustment. However, it eliminates the need for charging, because this metal itself has the property of absorbing and storing energy. It's just—are you in a rush?"
The three Eternals nodded vigorously in unison, and Henry realized he probably couldn't ask to take the items back for processing.
He scratched his head, finally giving up on any other ideas, and said, "Fine, I'll take several times your pay; it's what I should do. Just don't tell anyone what I saw today."
After warning the three Eternals, Henry suddenly remembered that there was a human beside him and looked over. Ginger's fat Indian butler immediately put on an innocent expression, smiled honestly, and turned his head left and right.
Seeing that Kingo was about to speak, Henry spoke first, "Mr. Patel, I understand that Kingo trusts you. But this concerns my privacy, not just matters concerning the Eternals, so would it be convenient for you to leave for a moment?"
The portly butler wasn't oblivious to the situation; he smiled and said to his master, "Oh, I just remembered we brought some food in the car. I think I can go and prepare dinner first."
Kingo nodded and said, "Then you should go and prepare."
After Karun Patel left, Kingo complained, "Come on, Henry, was this really necessary? He's been with me for over twenty years."
Henry didn't say much. He gripped the Sound-Absorbing Steel ore with both hands, twisted it forcefully, and peeled off a small piece. Then he used his Heat Vision to heat it, gradually increasing the temperature.
As one of the few indestructible metals on Earth, how to process it has always been a challenge. Captain America's shield was created by chance, and even Howard Stark once said that he could not reproduce the craftsmanship of making the shield.
In retrospect, this statement likely indicates that Old Man Stark ran out of Vibranium, preventing him from researching and experimenting with methods to reconstruct Captain America's shield.
Wakanda definitely has the complete Vibranium processing technology. But it's too late to steal it now, so Henry simply takes matters into his own hands, experimenting and making what Thena needs.
Henry's immediate and unheard act of dismantling the Sound-Absorbing Steel ore with his bare hands, accompanied by red Kingo emanating from his eyes, genuinely frightened Jingle, who had brought him there. "Well, that's certainly an unusual display."
The other two Eternals weren't in much better shape. Gilgamesh even sneaked up to Kingo and whispered, "Where did you say he came from?"
Krypton.
"Can Kryptonian really do something like that?"
"This is the first time I've heard this either."
Henry paid no heed to the whispers of the others; Vibranium ore was not as easy to handle as he had imagined. He was now completely focused on this.
Continuous heating only absorbs the heat between the molecular chains, storing it as energy. It cannot melt the raw stone.
Forget about processing and shaping it.
Recalling the settings in comics and movies, it seems that sound waves of a certain frequency can slightly suppress the metallic properties of Vibranium.
Adding energy beyond its absorption limit can also cause Vibranium to break. This is why the Vibranium Suit in the movie "Black Panther" has a move that releases energy.
Even if this function isn't turned into an attack technique, the Black Panther Suit will inevitably need to find other ways to release the absorbed energy. Otherwise, if it continues to store it, it will simply explode.
