The Progress of Secret Research
The exhausted girl fell into a deep sleep.
She rarely stayed overnight at Henry's place. But whenever she did, she slept soundly, as if in a safe harbor. She hadn't encountered those nightmares that would wake her up in a long time.
However, Henry was not so content. Although holding a soft, sweet person was a wonderful thing, his research work had piled up.
The technology for digital imaging was mostly handed over to the Stark Studios team for development. Henry was the leader, occasionally giving pointers to those who went astray to ensure everyone stayed on the right track.
Henry's real work involved those secret projects that no one else could do for him.
While the research into the Eternals ' bloodline was related to the creation of the suit, Henry wasn't in a hurry. The threats from the heterochromatic Sun Pharma or Kryptonite weren't imminent.
The same applies to the use of Vibranium. Before it has a clear purpose, making anything from it is a waste. Anyway, whatever is made will just turn into bricks or table leg scraps in Henry's hands.
Henry's recent focus remains on Crystal Kree and Skrull storage Crystal he retrieved from the Kree Cruiser a few months ago. He wants to extract some Kree or Skrulls technology from them to play with, especially energy projects.
Having seen Henry original, replicating the device for reading extraterrestrial storage Crystal on Earth wouldn't be difficult. Finding the correct reading Spectrum wouldn't be a problem either.
The real challenge was finding things that Henry could use from the vast amount of alien text.
Too much technology and research, without the support of basic knowledge and equipment, is as impractical as castles in the air, and even incomprehensible!
These are Kryptonian with Super Brain! But without systematically organized information on alien technology, Henry had no idea where to begin if he wanted to learn it from the basics and master it on his own.
At least the original owner of these materials, Dr. Marie Will, a scientist in the Kree, didn't kindly indicate somewhere that this is elementary school level textbook; this is high school textbook; and this is university textbook, implying that you shouldn't look at this if you haven't understood the previous material.
Therefore, Henry could only memorize by browsing through everything, then try to find the clues and slowly piece together these alien technologies.
In comparison, learning Kree language and Skrull language through reading alone is practically kindergarten level. With some prior knowledge of Kree language, Henry quickly abandoned the idea of translating it into English and began reading the original text directly.
As for learning Skrull language, it's not difficult because the book already includes translations of Skrull language into Kree language and provides references.
After several months, I'm still in the reading stage, and I can understand less than one-tenth of the content.
While it's true that I don't spend much time on it each day, another reason is that the level of knowledge involved is indeed consistent with a scientist's research content, and not much of it is simple or easy to learn.
As for what he could understand, most of it started with mathematics. This field of knowledge seems to be universally applicable. As for the meaning of those technical terms, Henry, Kryptonian raised on Earth, was completely baffled and had no idea whatsoever.
However, even after spending so much time, it wasn't entirely without progress. At least Henry managed to make a classification.
In the field of Kree Technology, research materials can be divided into Mar- Will's research data and references. The latter represents complete and accurate knowledge, while the former may contain some conjecture and periodic incorrect answers.
Therefore, Henry temporarily set aside the section categorized as research material and focused all his efforts on the category of references.
But don't think that the Kree scientist's research data is unimportant. Captain Marvel's involvement in Project Pegasus, the design of the Faster-than-Light Engine, and the research on the Tesseract all fall into this category. Henry just isn't in a hurry to understand this part.
In terms of Skrull Technology, besides a wealth of written documents, there is also a vast gene pool collected by the Skrull Empire.
There is also a set of documents that look like an encyclopedia of the Skrull Empire, containing information on biology, minerals, history, territory, and technological development.
It even includes information about Krypton, their defeated adversary, and many civilizations Destroy by the Skrulls. The long list of flaws and criticisms, culminating in the conclusion that it "is not worth preserving," is truly alarming.
It seems the Skrulls did indeed harbor the idea of starting anew, which is why they fled with this knowledge base, which can be considered a memory of civilization. Moreover, one can see the undisguised arrogance of a highly advanced civilization within it.
At least they didn't consider it a cruel and shameful thing to deem other civilizations "not worth preserving" and Destroy them.
Instead, they believed it was an achievement worthy of praise and recognition, something to be recorded in their cultural history.
However, the Skrull Encyclopedia that Henry obtained only contained the table of contents and summaries. The more detailed content and supporting evidence were locked away using encryption methods, preventing direct access.
Henry wasn't in a hurry to crack the encrypted parts. This encyclopedic set of documents did indeed solve the urgent problem for this Kryptonian was like a frog in a well.
By consulting the Skrulls encyclopedia, Henry made substantial progress in deciphering the Kree, and was no longer merely able to understand the mathematical formulas within.
However, this does not mean that the Kryptonian, with their Super Brain, have mastered the technology of the Kree and Skrull civilizations. They cannot simply conjure up spaceships at will and crush all nations on Earth.
Not to mention the accumulation of materials science, there are many raw materials for things that do not exist on Earth!
Without raw materials, we can only look for substitutes or alternatives that exist on Earth. These wouldn't be recorded in extraterrestrial literature.
Henry felt like he was from the fable he heard before his transmigration: a butcher who spent a fortune learning dragon-slaying skills, only to find himself wondering where to find dragons to kill in the real world. Although he understood most of the alien information, it only brought Henry frustration. But he had to admit that the few parts that were actually useful were indeed several generations more advanced than Earth's technology.
There are many things that I can't rush to implement in my own life because the energy issue is still a major obstacle.
Henry wouldn't dare unearth those alien technology artifacts in old Gary's apartment building. Who knows when the FBI might suddenly decide to come to his house to buy more? The self-destruction trick might not work a second time and he could escape unscathed.
The question of a suitable location for a secret base continues to trouble Henry. However, having received substantial funds from Sony's compensation and Tony Stark's withdrawal, he is seriously considering the feasibility of establishing Undersea Laboratory.
Or how about getting a submarine?
Or how about building Watchtower space station?
No, no, no! The latter is always falling or crashing; it's practically a must-visit place for aliens invading Earth in the DC Universe. If alien invaders don't come and check it out, they'll seem rather unimpressive.
So, without the master's financial resources, it's best not to build this thing that keeps falling to the ground every few days. Henry rejected this idea in his mind.
