Even at the dinner table, Givenchy continued to discuss with Henry the sculpture, whose condition, due to lack of proper preservation, should differ from its appearance when it was first completed hundreds of years ago.
In Givenchy's words, these sculptures seem alive, "growing" with the passage of time, to the point that they show differences from the original themes.
Because Charlize Theron and JJ Harris were guests, everyone spoke in English throughout the meal. Only when they were unsure of the correct words or how to say something in English would Givenchy and his partner switch back to French to clarify.
Perhaps it was through listening to Henry analyze a film more than once, explaining the perfect cinematic language created through the collaboration of the director, cinematographer, and actors, that Charlize Theron's sensitivity was honed enough to keep her engaged in such conversations.
She can't quote extensively or compare the works of other masters like a fashion guru or her boyfriend. But Charlize can express her feelings appropriately, which is very important.
This at least demonstrates that Charlize Theron has her own set of views and feelings about aesthetics. Whether it's an innate intuition or something cultivated, it certainly earned Givenchy's high regard for her.
What annoys him most is when he asks a model what she thinks, she can only offer some nonsensical compliments without any of her own ideas.
For dessert, there's a soufflé served with a cup of Irish coffee. Don't ask why people in France love Irish coffee. The recipe involves stirring hot coffee, sugar, and Irish whiskey together, then adding a layer of whipped cream. The cream isn't stirred.
Therefore, this Irish coffee allows you to enjoy the flavors of chilled whipped cream, hot coffee, and whiskey all at once.
Based on the mixing ratio provided by Givenchy's servants, this stuff is more like a cocktail with added coffee liquid, not the coffee you'd typically think of.
During dessert time, Givenchy finally spoke up, asking, "Henry, you said you're in trouble and hope I can help you find a suitable designer."
What happened?
"It concerns my girlfriend, Charlize Theron." Henry recounted the girl's situation without holding back much. He concluded by saying, "Because of me, she's also being targeted."
"She needs to attend a very important movie premiere early next month, and she doesn't even have a suitable dress yet. So I'm hoping you could help introduce her to a daring designer."
"You've got some nerve?" Givenchy asked curiously. "What kind of trouble have you gotten yourself into?"
"Well, I don't know if anyone outside of Los Angeles on United States West Coast knows him. Have you heard of a name, Gitano Dragonetti?"
"Dragonetti." Givenchy frowned, exchanging a glance with Philippe Vignette beside him. "I feel like I've heard that name before, in a rather awkward way."
They are Vampires.
"Well, that's not surprising at all."
Neither Givenchy nor Philippe Vigne showed much surprise upon hearing the name, clearly indicating that they were also aware of that Dark World.
Givenchy asked, "I remember you've been working for a Hollywood film company recently. As far as I know, as long as you voluntarily distance yourself from that world, they won't necessarily try to get their hands on you unless you have a special interest in them."
Henry replied, "Actually, their real target is Tony Stark, Stark Industries. I was just an innocent bystander."
I've already told that young master about this.
"He can issue warnings to deter people from doing anything too outrageous. But it's also true that he can't take care of everything perfectly."
With Tony Stark's wealth and influence, resolving the troubles Charlize Theron is currently facing would certainly not be a big problem.
The real question is, why did he do it? It wasn't his girlfriend.
Even if Henry isn't afraid of being cheated on, and does end up with that rich kid, it won't stop entertainment reporters from writing their little stories. Charlize Theron isn't old enough to ignore these disgusting comments yet.
Rather than having to work as a psychologist later on, Henry should look for methods with fewer side effects. Givenchy, this great man, is undoubtedly one of the best solutions.
Actually, the general outline of the matter had already been explained during their previous phone conversation. Now that the details had been clearly stated, Henry naturally took this opportunity to clearly state his demands.
"Givenchy, I know the fashion world is very special. Once you reach someone of your level, even those Dark World forces wouldn't dare to interfere easily."
"However, I also know that top brands like LV, Chanel, and GUCCI would never collaborate with someone who doesn't have enough commercial value."
"So I just wanted to ask you to introduce any designers who are unafraid of the clutches of the Dark World and would be willing to collaborate with us. Of course, they can also mention their conditions. Mutual benefit is, of course, an important prerequisite."
The fashion world has a very high ceiling and a very low floor. There are big names like Givenchy who can be guests of Old Money or traditional Europe aristocracy, and there are also people who can operate a sewing machine, make their own clothes, and call themselves designers.
Regardless of Givenchy's aristocratic background, the reason why fashion moguls like him are sought after by the Old Money is that these powerful and influential people also need things to complement their sophistication.
What could be more suitable for establishing a sense of sophistication and distinguishing them from ordinary people than luxurious fashion that is unaffordable for the average person?
Therefore, for these powerful people, fashion icons are resources that need to be protected; maintaining their reputation is like maintaining their own divine status.
As long as these people don't court disaster, anyone else who wants to mess with them should think twice before deciding whether they're even qualified.
However, those who haven't reached that level dare to resist the influence of the Dark World because they have other sources of support and a clear stance that can actually attract a group of like-minded allies.
To reiterate, Vampires are indeed a nuisance. But they haven't completely taken control of the Dark World, nor have their influence reached a point where no one dares to defy them.
After all, this is the Marvel Universe, a world teeming with superheroes. Even before the curtain has risen, the official powers and the existence of Mutants mean this isn't a time for Vampires to run rampant and act with impunity.
"Actually, I do have someone in mind," Givenchy said.
Upon receiving such a positive response, Charlize Theron and JJ Harris's eyes lit up; even Henry showed interest and asked, "Oh, who is it? Could you introduce us?"
