Subsequent Work
The movie was still excellent, even though some of the characters were different from the version Henry remembered.
In this film, the director deliberately included a shot of Charlize Theron looking back that wasn't seen in the original.
Although the makeup wasn't the level of a runway model's, the sight of the almost bare-faced girl turning around in the movie scene gave Henry a chill down his spine.
In contrast, Charlize herself was more composed. It wasn't the first time she had seen herself perform on camera. Seeing it on the big screen this time, she still subconsciously reviewed her performance, pondering where there was room for improvement.
Even when watching other people's scenes, Charlize's mind was filled with thoughts of how she should perform her own part and what she could learn from the actors on screen.
It's fair to say that Henry has completely robbed Charlize Theron of the joy of watching movies. But Charlize Theron still has no intention of escaping this state.
Because she knew very well that since she didn't have a director father or a celebrity mother, reaching the top largely depended on how hard she worked.
After the movie premiere concluded successfully, Henry drove his old Cadillac home with Charlize Theron.
This was the girl's first time attending a premiere of this scale, and the flashes of the cameras left a deep impression on her.
Although most of the attention wasn't directed at her, it could still serve as an inspiration, reminding her to become someone worthy of being bathed in so much spotlight as soon as possible.
Whether contemplating her future or daydreaming about her already successful career, Charlize inadvertently caught Henry glancing at her face. She said, somewhat bewildered, "The dress needs to be returned to Cruella de Vil, don't tear it."
"Why would I tear my dress?" Henry asked, puzzled.
Charlize replied cautiously, "I've heard that some big shots enjoy the feeling of tearing their dresses, and I'm afraid you might develop that bad habit too. Even though you have the money to buy lots of clothes from Cruella de Vil, I still don't want you to develop such a habit."
"Don't worry, I didn't. Thrift is a virtue. While I agree that we should use things when necessary, that's not an excuse for waste. Buying clothes to tear them up is just too much."
Actually, you don't need such rough methods; there's enough fun between two people. Let's learn about the India Kama Sutra and the Japanese Forty-Eight Hands.
It's a pity I can't find any information about Bedchamber Arts, otherwise I'd like to try them out.
It means that when I came to this Marvel Universe, the classics related to Tokyo University seemed to be blocked. I couldn't find the original works at all in the market or in the library. There were only some nonsensical translations, and they were all abridged.
Henry never imagined setting foot on the land of S.P.E.A.R.. Who knew what it would cause?
Just as Henry was envisioning the fun he would have that evening, Charlize suddenly asked, "Honey, did Cruella de Vil mention it to you?"
"What brought you up? Oh, it's about the runway, isn't it? I was also wondering what your thoughts are?" Henry remembered the invitation from the Black and White Witch. But actually, it wasn't mainly about him; she wanted to get Kitty on the runway.
As Cruella de Vil's theme for this season, wildness is key. From shooting male photos and print ads to the final runway show, the same style must be maintained to ensure a cohesive and successful runway experience.
Then Kitty is an unavoidable hurdle.
Although Cruella de Vil Devey's original plan was that the lion in GG was just a special effects effect, and there would be no subsequent scenes with any animals, how could she not take the opportunity given the chance!
Of course, the main focus is still on the models wearing clothes.
Charlize asked, "Do you think it's appropriate for me to walk the runway?"
Henry offered his analysis. "What's inappropriate about it? You're not going to lose to those models. Besides, it's not uncommon for controversial figures to walk the runway."
"At this stage, your most important task is to build your reputation and cultivate an audience's interest. Anything that generates positive buzz is worth trying."
"But if you're not going, I won't consider bringing Kitty. I don't feel comfortable entrusting that big cat to strangers. If something happens, it won't be good for anyone."
Actually, as long as Henry wears Tiger Language Translator and has a good talk with Kitty to get it to cooperate smoothly with a model on the runway, it wouldn't be a difficult task.
The real hassle is getting the paperwork done to send a Tiger across the border!
Not to mention Henry had to accompany her the whole time, treating Kitty like royalty, all for a few cents?
Besides, the regulations on keeping wild animals vary from country to country. Apart from India, which is a lawless land, and Australia, which is a vast and sparsely populated place, Henry would not dare to take his "Tabby Cat" to roam around.
Unless... they use Kryptonian flight abilities to smuggle themselves in. But that would prevent them from engaging in any public activities. This clearly contradicts Cruella de Vil's intention in inviting Kitty.
Henry would be more than happy to help Charlize Theron What If...? it could. But if his own girl wasn't planning on walking the runway, he'd probably be happier taking Kitty to the countryside to run wild, saving himself the trouble.
Knowing Henry's attitude, Charlize had a better understanding and said, "Understood, I will discuss it with Jane again."
Having ended one topic, Henry turned to ask, "While this isn't your first film to be shown on the big screen, it is the first one with a premiere you can attend. Any thoughts?"
Taking off her shoes, she bent her knees and hugged them to her chest. Charlize, in this posture, said with a slightly resentful tone, "Actually, I don't feel anything special. It's not like I'm starring in a movie."
"Haha, don't worry, there's a chance. As long as you keep going, you'll have a chance to play the lead role, or even a leading lady in a movie."
Resting her chin on her knees, Charlize suddenly sighed, "Am I really that useless? I wouldn't be where I am today What If...? your help."
"How could that be? Think carefully about all the effort you've put in. Is it really true that everything was in vain without me? No way. I believe that even without my help, you can create your own brilliant life."
Before she time-traveled, the South Africa diamond was an unattainable figure for a mere laborer like herself. How could there be any illusion that she couldn't succeed without her?
Henry casually remarked, "Without anyone's help, the road may be a bit more rugged, but I believe you have the ability to keep going. You've already overcome the most difficult part. How could the road ahead possibly be any more difficult for you?"
The words were meant to be encouraging, but the girl heard a different meaning in them. If Henry hadn't been driving, she probably would have made a move. But right now, Charlize Theron simply stared at him with sharp eyes.
"Speak! Where do you think you're going by saying all this? What do you mean by 'I can do without you'? You're not allowed to go anywhere, you're only allowed to stay by my side, understand?"
"Yes, my queen."
