Because the mansion where the incident occurred is located in Montecito, Santa Barbara County, California, which is not part of Los Angeles, the homicide case does not fall under the jurisdiction of the LAPD, but rather the local Police Station.

Henry, arrested on the spot, sat silently in the police station's interrogation room. Outside, however, it was as noisy as a market, with more than a dozen eyewitnesses waiting to give statements, leaving the police station in this upscale residential area feeling overwhelmed.

Upon hearing the news, the district attorney also displayed an unusually proactive attitude, going to the Police Station to prepare for questioning the suspect.

Unlike the police, who only knew the deceased was a wealthy man, this district attorney knew very well the identities of the two Old Money.

For members of the Arden Family, meeting anyone on a regular basis is usually difficult. Now that there's an opportunity to curry favor, how could the district attorney not be eager?

As long as you handle it well, even if you don't achieve great success in the future, you'll still reap other benefits.

Because the suspect was caught red-handed, the prosecutor's tone was particularly harsh. He slammed his fist on the interrogation room table, making a loud clanging sound, as if he wanted to hit the suspect, in order to threaten him.

"Tell me! Why did you kill the Ardens?"

"Tell me! Were you instructed by someone to commit this horrific murder? Is it related to Mutants extremist group?"

"Let me tell you! There are so many witnesses who saw you commit the crime. Don't think you'll get away with it by staying silent. I'm giving you a chance to recount the facts. If you don't cherish it and the final verdict isn't what you expected, don't blame anyone else."

"Are you even hearing me?! Let me tell you, now that you're in my hands, there's no way you're going to leave without a charge!"

The interrogation room door opened, and a confident and calm voice rang out. "Prosecutor Will, perhaps you should lower your voice a bit, lest you startle my client."

"Damn it, it's you!" A lawyer recognized by the prosecutor couldn't be a bad one. He said disdainfully, "Get your client to plead guilty quickly; I can offer a better plea agreement."

The lawyer turned to the person sitting on the table and introduced himself, "Mr. Henry Brown, I am Scott Jefferson, Stark Industries ' attorney-in-charge. Regarding the case—"

Henry, finally speaking, said directly, "I am innocent. I will not accept any plea bargain."

The prosecutor slammed his fist on the table in another fit of rage, shouting, "There are so many eyewitnesses outside, do you think they're all blind?"

"Whom are you accusing me of killing?" Henry's second question was a rhetorical one.

The prosecutor stated directly, "James Arden and Lilith Arden, a wise and accomplished couple who have made outstanding contributions to society."

"Then... where is the body?"

"The corpse." From initial excitement to rage, the hot-blooded district prosecutor finally returned to normal legal logic, thinking about the most important piece of evidence in a murder case—the victim's body.

He kept flipping through the documents in his hands, as well as the police's preliminary report. The more he looked, the more alarmed he became, cold sweat beading on his forehead. "Perhaps you abandoned the house somewhere, or you damaged it."

Despite being a murder accusation, the police never saw the victim's body, nor did they obtain a forensic report. Instead, they arrested the man described as a "criminal caught in the act" based solely on the testimony of the Arden Family Bodyguards.

Henry said coldly, "Oh, you mean I murdered Mr. and Mrs. Arden in Mr. Arden's house, in front of more than a dozen Bodyguards, and then dumped their bodies in some unknown place, or destroyed or Oblivion the evidence?"

"And then he was subdued at the scene of the murder by those Bodyguards in the house, and arrested by you as a 'criminal caught in the act.' Is that right, Mr. Will? I'd like to ask, does law school teach logic?"

The prosecutor said impatiently, "Then how are you going to explain the fact that so many people are accusing you at the same time!"

Henry, still looking at him like he was an idiot, said in a cold tone, "What If...? you think the possibility of them all being a bunch of mentally ill people and hallucinating is too low, then they're being instructed by someone to make false accusations."

"You wouldn't agree that a case can be established simply because there are many accusers without ever seeing the body, would you? I hope you can convince the judge with this argument."

The prosecutor, making a final stand, stood up and said menacingly, "Then what about the murder weapon? What about your crucifix necklace? So many people can testify that you used the crucifix pendant to kill those two elderly people."

As he began, Henry made the sign of the cross with difficulty and exclaimed dramatically, "Lord, forgive this blind man. The determination of the murder weapon also requires scientific examination."

"So hurry up and get the bloodstains checked, see if there are any traces of the victim's blood. Anyway, the evidence is in your hands, so even if I wanted to do something, I couldn't."

"What If...? those people accused me of killing someone with a knife, fine. A cross? Are you kidding me? How am I supposed to kill an adult with a cross pendant?"

"And do you know how big that cross was? The size of a finger! It wasn't the cross Jesus nailed himself to; you could crush someone to death just by pressing on them, not by striking them with your palm."

The prosecutor stormed out, frustrated; he was going to find the police to ask for more information.

The lawyer who had been hired by Stark Industries looked at his client with a completely bewildered expression.

Before he arrived, he only knew that his client had been arrested as a murderer caught in the act, and that the victims were the current head of the Arden Family, but he knew nothing of the details.

His original plan was to secure the most favorable plea agreement, which was the only thing he could do. After all, the victim was not an insignificant person, and he was arrested as a criminal caught in the act, making it virtually impossible for him to overturn the verdict.

Another unspoken but understood purpose was to distance the case from Stark Studios as much as possible.

At the very least, we can't involve Mr. Tony Stark in this.

But now it seems there's more to the story than meets the eye in this case.

So the senior lawyer cautiously began, "Mr. Brown, you should know that I must abide by the Attorney-Client Privilege."

"Therefore, I hope you can tell me the complete details of the situation so that I can represent you most effectively and strive for the most favorable outcome."

He gave the lawyer, who secretly looked down on him, a once-over. The other man thought he had hidden his disdain well, but how could such a detail be missed by Kryptonian's keen observation?

But Henry decided to tell the truth anyway. "Do you know about Vampires?"

The lawyer said disdainfully, "My life isn't just about law books and Court cases. Of course I know about Vampires. But what does that have to do with what you're talking about?"

"The Ardens are no longer human; they have transformed themselves into Vampires. The sacred silver will take away their cursed, false life, leaving no trace."

"You must be joking." The lawyer was initially annoyed at being given such an excuse. But seeing the serious expression on his client's face, he recalled certain rumors and said incredulously, "You must be joking."
