Private Communication Line
Henry brought Jack Reacher to the Sheep Cave Valley Laboratory not only because of poor planning, but also because he was gambling on Rich's character.
I'm betting that he might not be the kind of person who's obsessed with power and status, like the protagonist in that movie I remember from before I traveled through time.
The warnings I mentioned earlier were just part of my acting, to prevent people from thinking they had inexplicably given me unconditional trust.
Henry never expected that while the location of the laboratory wasn't exposed, he himself would be! It was all Kitty's fault!
Once he returns to Los Angeles, this Tabby Cat's weight loss plan will need to be intensified.
However, since he had already exposed himself, Henry bluntly said through the Little Duck, "How about this, you eat first. After you finish eating, What If...? you don't mind meeting face-to-face, you can just tell me the reason for the meeting."
Jack Reacher then asked, "Are your communications lines confidential?"
The communication, interception, and jamming technologies of the Kree and Skrulls are hierarchical. The highest level, quantum entanglement communication, can disregard distance and achieve intergalactic synchronous communication.
According to the records of Kree scientist Mar- Will, the Supreme Intelligence of the Kree Empire communicated with all its subjects in this way.
Of course, the other party in the communication must possess a beacon for the Supreme Intelligence to locate and confirm their identity. This technology is ultimately a science, not magic that targets souls or species.
This beacon can have additional uses depending on the situation. For example, the device used on Captain Marvel to suppress her power belongs to this type. When Mar- Will discarded this beacon, even though she is a blue-blooded, pink-skinned Kree, it was equivalent to discarding her Kree identity and no longer being monitored by the Supreme Intelligence. It also meant she was no longer protected.
However, don't underestimate the power of a small beacon to achieve quantum entanglement communication; the devices on the Supreme Intelligence's side are on a building-scale scale. Even if Henry was envious, he never considered doing something so conspicuous.
Therefore, he used a different quantum encryption technology that would be difficult to crack even if Kree or Skrulls technician came in person.
The content is transmitted in a scattered, frequency-hopping manner, and reassembling it presents decoding challenges similar to those of the Enigma machine. Random use of block encryption, stream encryption, or even a combination of both is employed.
This ensures that even if a message is intercepted, it would take thousands of years for current computing power to brute-force it. Even if it were cracked, it would only yield a fragmented and meaningless message.
Since it's only used on Earth, Henry isn't particularly concerned about the transmission distance.
Instead of trying to miniaturize quantum entangled communication devices, it would be better to directly use more complex encryption methods. This is actually easier for Henry, whose technological reserves are not yet systematic and who can only focus on cracking a specific method if he wants to use it.
So, when faced with Jack Reacher's question, Henry can guarantee that even if the brightest minds on Earth were to gather together, they would need to upgrade their tools several times over to intercept and crack his communication system.
Pure technological superiority. It feels incredibly satisfying!
Quantum Computer has already been successfully built in Undersea Laboratory, although it is only a preliminary product equipped with a topological chip.
According to Moore's Law, Earth's technology will need to advance for at least another thirty years before laboratory theories have a chance to reach Henry's current level. Commercialization will have to wait.
However, it cannot be ruled out that some exceptional geniuses might take unconventional paths to cause trouble. But as Henry gains more and more mastery of Kree and Skrulls technology, his progress will only be faster than Earth's technology under Moore's Law.
He doesn't have the obsession of needing to make enough profit at each stage before moving on to the next. That's something only businessmen do under the rules of a market economy; Intel's incremental approach is based on that idea.
Henry didn't rush to build his own knowledge system; instead, he thoroughly understood the knowledge of the two major alien civilizations. He learned to follow the right path and avoid the detours others had taken before thinking about and building his own system. This was the Reason.
Don't say that being different from others is the pride of Kryptonian!
First, how do you become "different"? You need to know what others have to offer before you can stand out from the crowd.
Furthermore, there are no patent issues involved. Therefore, it is not necessary to be completely unaware of other people's designs before starting the design process, in order to avoid using the same design logic and thus infringing on others' patent rights and causing disputes.
Simply telling Jack Reacher all this would be like casting pearls before swine. Not to mention how many things within it are things that can't be spoken aloud.
I've already revealed enough secrets today; there's no need to expose even my last trump card.
So, after holding back for a long time, suppressing his urge to boast but also considering the consequences, Henry finally spoke through the Support Mech, Little Duck: "The circuit is confidential, but you should still be careful what you say about your information. Let's eat first; I'm not in a hurry."
Jack Reacher picked up his knife and fork again and began cutting the robot-cooked steak. He had to admit, for his taste, it was quite delicious. It was nothing like the chemical products he'd imagined from the lab.
Jack Reacher eats quite quickly. He's very focused on eating and won't talk while he eats.
During this time, Henry temporarily disconnected from the airway. He took off his glasses and rubbed the bridge of his nose.
This rescue operation was both a success and a failure. The success, of course, was that the target was rescued unharmed, albeit with some minor scratches.
But if he himself doesn't care, Henry won't bother with it.
The failure stemmed from accidentally leaking information about himself. Besides the guy's astonishing insight, he also became somewhat complacent and careless.
Their mastery of alien technology surpasses all the technology on Earth, a source of pride; and the Titanic brings them honors in every aspect.
Although the biggest beneficiary of the latter was still producer and director James Cameron, Henry's original assessment of him as an "investment idiot who doesn't understand film" has changed to "a clueless jerk who's lucky but doesn't understand film."
And then she has a world-class beauty as her girlfriend. This kind of mentality is simply outrageous.
But as it turns out, even the smoothest path in life doesn't guarantee you won't make mistakes. Just a little oversight, and plans changing, led to the inadvertent exposure of several secrets you didn't intend to reveal.
I called over a flight attendant and asked her to bring me an alcoholic beverage. Although this stuff doesn't really affect Kryptonian's constitution, it'll at least give my tongue a spiciness.
When Henry had timed it perfectly, put his glasses back on, and connected with the Little Duck at Sheep Cave Valley Laboratory, he saw Jack Reacher bring over the first-aid kit and clean his wounds.
