A Hint About the Blood God Ritual
Seeing Blade take a rag from who-knows-where, wet it, and about to wipe Abraham Whistler's body, Black Super quickly stopped him, saying, "Get a clean bucket of water, and then use the gauze from the first-aid kit to clean Whistler's bloodstains."
"What If...? you really want him dead, just shoot him in the head. Don't bother watching him suffer from infection and fever for so long. Of course, if there's a lot of resentment between you two, then disregard what I said."
Looking at the rag in his hand that had been used to wipe something, and then at the glaring expression on Abraham Whistler's face, Blade, unusually, listened to advice.
The two of them turned their heads and blinked, and saw the Black Super walking towards them from a distance, holding something in his hand.
"What happened?" Blade asked, dumbfounded.
"I left my things in the car, I'll go out to get them and be right back, it'll be quick."
"Just forget about it, never mind." Blade had originally intended to ask when the other person had driven there, but suddenly felt it was foolish to pursue the matter further, so he simply ignored it.
Black Super returned to Abraham Whistler's side, casually pulled over a shelf, and haphazardly placed the things he was carrying on it. He then pulled over something resembling a clothes rack and hung a bag of blood plasma on it, preparing to give the old Vampires hunter a blood transfusion.
At that moment, Blade's keen sense of smell told him something was wrong. Pointing to the bag of red liquid, he asked, "What's that?"
"This isn't blood, is it?"
Black Super replied, "This is artificial blood plasma. It only provides temporary relief; the body primarily relies on its own blood-producing function to recover. Therefore, it's completely useless to Vampires."
Black Super glanced at Blade again and said, "Hey, I don't have that kind of connections. Do you think just anyone can get their hands on blood plasma? As long as the person can be saved, that's all that matters. Don't worry about all that. Take him to a proper hospital."
Blade's lips twitched, and he said angrily, "Suit yourself."
Ignoring the guy beside him who always had a dark expression, Black Super looked at the old Vampires hunter in the chair who was clearly much more relaxed and said, "Whistler, I'm going to inject you with the First Embrace Serum to solve the problem of your conversion."
"I'll also administer anesthesia to help with the surgery and reduce your pain. Afterwards, I'll move you to a safe place to recuperate. This place is already in the Vampires ' sights, and we can't guarantee they won't come back anytime soon."
Abraham Whistler's immediate reaction was. "Damn it, why didn't you use the anesthetic first!"
"If you're lying, I'll have to see if your mouth is tough enough, if you want to live." After saying this, Black Super spread his hands and added, "The truth is, I forgot."
Although his face was completely covered by a black hood, everyone could almost see that cheeky expression, making them want to be with him.
Just as he was about to utter the word starting with F, Black Super injected a needle into the old Vampires hunter's neck. Without a word, the old man passed out.
Blade's eyes widened, even his thin-rimmed sunglasses couldn't hide them. "What kind of medicine is this?"
"Oh, I gave him the anesthetic. I should have injected him with serum first." After saying that, he took another syringe and injected the same spot.
"What kind of anesthetic? It makes you unconscious instantly after an injection. Doesn't that kind of stuff take ten to fifteen minutes to take effect? You only see that kind of bizarre, instant-on-the-go effect in movies."
"This is a powerful anesthetic I concocted myself, specifically for road rage, hysteria, and unreasonable behavior. Just don't use too much, or you'll be called by God."
Blade, feeling a sharp pain in his teeth, threw down the gauze in his hand and said, "Give me a few liters; I should be able to use them. Would they be useful against Vampires?"
"You think you can drink a few liters of water? Giving this to Vampires is a waste. Just use vodka, or industrial alcohol. Besides, do you even know where to kill them?"
"You said it yourself, this is something I'm good at." Picking up a videotape next to him that was labeled "Play Me," Blade said, "What If...? this is a trap to lure me in, the location should be in this message."
"I don't think they'll leave me with a mystery, patiently waiting for me to solve it before coming to me. Dickon Thaddeus Ross isn't as steady as the other old fogies."
He picked up a plastic bag containing something from his belongings and handed it out. The Black Super said, "If you want to fight Vampires, this is a little cutie I'm sponsoring."
Blade's eyes lit up. He took the plastic bag and pulled out three grenades of different shapes, emitting a deep blue light. "These are?"
Black Super said, "The Melon One are all prototypes. They are filled with a solution containing ultraviolet radiation, just like the UV Bullets."
"However, I increased the concentration, so theoretically the lethality will also be enhanced. The first type is an airburst type; after being thrown, if it rolls on the ground, it will automatically bounce to a certain height before exploding."
"Type II is a cluster bomb that explodes in nine waves, more than the three waves that supported you before, to prevent Vampires from hiding in the shadows of their companions and avoiding the attack. Type III is similar to a stun grenade, and will also have a loud bang and a flash.
"While you're there, help me test which ones work and which ones don't. Also, you said that guy named Dickon wants to perform some kind of ritual to transform and upgrade himself, and that you're part of that ritual?"
Blade said, "Whistler told me this. The relevant content should be from the messages they deciphered. It's ritual content found in the ancient Book of Erebus, the Vampires Bible."
Black Super pondered and said, "I don't think ancient rituals would record that you must be sacrificed for the ritual to proceed. So what they really need is some quality related to you. What do you think it could be?"
"Daywalker"
"Hmm, walking under the blazing Sun Pharma is a dream, but also a luxury, for many Vampires," Black Super said, changing the subject. "In that case, I suggest you prepare some methods other than purple light, just in case anything unexpected happens."
Is this necessary?
Black Super explained, "I don't understand the Vampires ritual process. What If...? they already possess the ability to walk in the bright Sun Pharma before the ritual, and you're just the final step, then the lethality of the UV Bullets and grenades isn't so reliable."
This statement is actually a misleading suggestion, yet it aims to lead to the correct outcome. Black Super can't exactly tell Blade that Blood God will inevitably appear and is unafraid of sunlight and silverware, can he?
"I see."
Black Super asked again, "Also, do you have a backup secret base location? I need to move Whistler to a safe place. What If...? not, I'll bring him to my location first."
"Let's make arrangements after he recovers. I don't know if the backup location he prepared is safe."
"Alright." Black Super pointed to the computer next to him and said, "You know how to contact me with this junk. Don't forget after you've killed the Vampires. I'm waiting for you to tell me about your experience using the new weapons."
Knowing that someone was thinking of him and that he was coming back, Blade flashed his signature set of white teeth and said with a smile:
:"I know."
