A Snap of the Fingers
The Eye of Agamotto rose again from his chest; this artifact, named after one of the Vishanti Trinity, holds the secrets of time.
Reversing the timeline of destroyed items is a taboo when using this magical artifact. There is no penalty for this taboo; it can only be obeyed through people's self-discipline to maintain the order of the flow of time.
Trying to rewind time and resurrect the dead is simply impossible. It would only result in the recovery of physical injuries, but the person would still be dead, because death is unchallengeable.
Using the Eye of Agamotto, Tony Stark finds the most likely solution to succeed from among many future options.
Time seemed to fast-forward as his right hand was held in front of him. Sometimes the cuff transformed into the shape of a suit jacket, sometimes into an empty forearm, and sometimes into the sleeve of more casual clothing.
During the encounter, Tony Stark saw several strange mechanical armors, all incredibly futuristic. The most frequent was the red and gold armored arm, his favorite color; other color schemes were also seen, but less frequently.
Finally, the illusion of time's passage ceased, and Tony Stark's right forearm was covered by a more skin-hugging red-gold armor. This armored arm had no obvious welds or screw holes, indicating that it was made using a more advanced assembly technique.
The part that least suits his aesthetic sense is that each of the five knuckles and the back of his fist is inlaid with a gemstone of a different color.
The thought of donning this arm armor sent a shiver down his spine. A sudden thought flashed through his mind, and he instinctively resisted the very thing he was about to do.
The Ancient One sighed and said, "Stark, you should know that you must be careful when making wishes. Because your wishes don't always come true as you wish."
"But that's what you want me to do, isn't it?" Tony Stark never thought of defying fate, as long as it was something he himself wanted to happen.
He opposed things simply for the sake of opposing, and always went against the wishes of others. He did this for more than 20 years, but the results were unsatisfactory, and one could even say that he regretted it.
Therefore, he had long ago decided that he would only follow his own thoughts. Regardless of whether the outcome was good or bad, at least it would be the decision that satisfied him the most. He raised his hand, adorned with the Infinity Gauntlet, high.
While battling with Cyclops, it seemed to sense something and broke through the illusion barrier set up by the Sorcerer Supreme in one fell swoop.
Floating in mid-air, with his half-blind eyes blazing with blood, he looked down at the people hiding inside, including Tony Stark, who wore the six gems on his wrist.
Is this the end?
That's fine.
This is its madness, its last shred of rational thought.
Tony Stark, meeting its gaze, snapped his fingers with a crisp, metallic clang and said, "The Sentry was never there. Everything is back to normal!"
The combined wish-granting power of the Six Infinity Stones cannot be used in such a clever way; one should use the Time Stone to make a wish by having the complete Infinity Gauntlet of the future on it.
What If...? Tony Stark were just an ordinary mortal, his life would probably have entered its final countdown the moment he put on that homemade, shoddy Infinity Gauntlet. Whether he made a wish or not, it wouldn't have changed his fate.
However, his mind harbored a secret on par with the Infinity Stones. The Wisdom Gem paid the price for his wish, making possible the impossible feat of making a wish using the Infinity Gauntlet of the future.
For wealthy people, they only care about whether the price they pay will bring them happiness or personal growth.
Only the poor, who have nothing, are so calculating about everything; like a hamster, they drag everything into their burrow to keep it safe, unwilling to give up a single thing.
Regardless of whether Tony Stark knew the secret within his own mind, he didn't hesitate at this moment. So the unformed Wisdom Gem shattered completely, vanishing from the universe, never to be restored.
Only a gem can destroy a gem; this is an immutable principle.
The moment his wish came true, the world began to distort. Almost everyone was caught up in it, dragged toward the "right track," and even it was no exception. Dressed in red and blue battle armor, its form gradually faded until it disappeared and returned to its rightful place.
Only the Sorcerer Supreme did not obediently submit to the power of the gem.
An elderly man with a white beard, wearing a red monk's robe, watched as a bald, androgynous monk in a brown robe approached him.
He didn't care at all that his body was beginning to disintegrate and turn to ashes. He simply greeted the newcomer, "Ancient One."
The bald monk, who looked quite young, smiled and nodded, greeting, "Ancient One."
"It's up to you."
Leave it to me.
"Perhaps I should use a Forgetting Spell. To make everyone forget that Tony Stark ever studied or used magic, including himself."
"This is a wise choice, Ancient One."
The simple greeting between the two was proof that the Sorcerer Supreme, despite his white beard's resistance to the power of the six gems' wishes, was still able to maintain his own identity. Unlike the others, whose consciousness had long since vanished, leaving them at the mercy of the six gems' wishes.
However, his existence couldn't accomplish the same thing, so he had to hand it over to another "Ancient One." He was also himself, so he had no complaints or regrets.
Tony Stark's "Back on Track" also restored shattered Manhattan and devastated New York to its state before the Sentry / the Void ravaged it.
The lives lost in the process have all returned. No matter what harm they suffered in their final moments, they are now fully recovered.
The Sentry's great battle in Manhattan, his heroic deeds, and everything related to him have been erased from the world or his experiences distorted.
Because few people can confront their experience of being murdered or dying accidentally. Rather than letting New York's psychiatric clinics profit from it, it's better for everyone to forget. This was Tony Stark's original intention.
The Sentry were supposed to disappear completely as the wishes granted by the Infinity Stones came true.
But the force that killed him did not belong to this universe, and the remnants of that force left the Sentry's body in place. Only everything about him in the universe's memory was forgotten or altered.
This situation naturally attracted the attention of a certain being. The souls that had entered her hands were pulled back one by one, returning to the world of the living.
This has never happened before; no god has ever dared to defy death.
As a skeleton wielding multiple powers and hiding under a large Cloak, he is not affected by the Infinity Stones of a single universe.
Tracing the source of this incident is certainly not difficult. He must also give the perpetrator a sufficiently severe punishment for such offense.
Otherwise, if people keep coming to take people away from you every few days, wouldn't the dignity of death be trampled on by these people?
As for those who came back to life, they were no longer under his jurisdiction.
Unfortunately, the wishes granted by the Six Infinity Stones fall into one of the very few categories within their respective universes that death cannot interfere with. He cannot do anything to the Infinity Stones, even though those stones become worthless once they leave their respective universes.
The wisher paid the price of an Infinity Stones to block Death's power to demand other costs or punishments. In a single universe, a wish made with six Infinity Stones is not so easily interfered with or violated.
Death, having glimpsed its cause and effect, still sought to leave its mark, to express its discontent. No one could, or should, snatch death from its grasp.
So he manipulated a soul that had been pulled back by the power of the six gems' wish-granting ability, causing its destiny to be replaced by the destiny of another universe.
"Back on track," isn't it? But on a multiverse level, which track to return to is a very interesting question.
Since death doesn't violate the power of the Infinity Stones ' wishes, such actions are permitted. Even though other beings of similar level are focusing their attention on that group, no one steps in to stop them. This accidental attention has already been far too much.
