Battle the X-Men Again

Its battle with the X-Men, due to Quicksilver's intervention, forced Scarlet Witch to get involved, thus implicating the entire sorcerer community.

In fact, most magicians are quite independent, or to put it bluntly, rather selfish; some have already wanted to leave.

But today's matter was brought here by the Sorcerer Supreme. This Guardian of Earth's magical dimension usually doesn't concern himself with Earth's internal affairs. But if he sets his sights on you, do you still want to stay on Earth?

So, without the white-bearded old man's nod, no one dared to run. Once the Scarlet Witch made her move, the others followed suit. None of the sorcerers who hadn't looked at Kamar-Taj left.

If they could leave, these people could be stopped once the portal is opened. Right now, these mages are just standing at a distance, ready at any moment.

After resolving the Sentry problem, New York Manhattan, is about to face another major battle.

The only saving grace is that the intensity of this battle is not as fierce as when it fought against the Void before.

Having learned from the Speedster's experience of using harassment to control people, Quicksilver effectively kept the enraged individuals within a small area. This allowed Cyclops, Storm, and the sorcerers to stand on the periphery and launch their attacks.

As a speedster who wanted to persuade both sides to stop fighting, Quicksilver certainly didn't allow Cyclops and Storm, the two X-Men, to attack him.

Even he didn't think his two old comrades could penetrate that Steel Body. But not making a move and not breaking through the defenses are two different things, and cannot be generalized.

The harassment wasn't just enjoyed by Quicksilver's hired helper; Cyclops and Storm were also rendered speechless by this speedster.

Storm was the first to give up, but Cyclops still harbored resentment. Whether it was disgust for him or Jean Grey's lingering pain, Scott Summers had reason to be angry. Just like Superman's previous outbursts, weren't they also due to the murder of his beloved?

As for Professor X... because of Jean Grey's strange behavior and Cyclops's impulses, he immediately connected his mind to stop his student.

I risked connecting with its consciousness again, hoping to persuade it and calm it down. But I was silenced once more...

It may be angry and mad, but it's still mentally sound. Professor X hasn't learned his lesson; does that mean he should just let it go?

What truly convinced Quicksilver that he could resolve the situation was the magical attack launched by the group of sorcerers, led by Scarlet Witch.

As long as he lets this pent-up anger out, everything will be fine. This was a solution he himself suggested years ago when Jean Grey had problems. Quicksilver is using it now.

These magical attacks are not based on any particular attribute or inflict physical damage. Instead, they target the mind and soul, inflicting various negative status effects.

The Scarlet Witch could see clearly that no direct attack, whether magical or not, could harm the man in the slightest. Therefore, they could only use restraint as a means, while also avoiding further provoking him.

But how long can this kind of restraint last? Even if it could last a lifetime, will this matter ever end? How will it be resolved afterward?

Unlike her older brother, she didn't have the same confidence that things would resolve themselves if left unattended.

Thinking about these problems, Scarlet Witch couldn't hide her frustration. This helper was someone she and her brother had found, even though it was on the orders of the Sorcerer Supreme. The outcome was like this, and she couldn't help but feel a little guilty, so she became more careful with her subordinates.

Strangely enough, in a truly life-or-death battle, whoever holds back is courting death. Yet, the mages discovered that if they held back even a fraction of their strength, the pressure would decrease accordingly.

The same applies to Quicksilver. Otherwise, given his status as a pure speedster, he would have been turned into mincemeat long ago.

The most intense part of the battle was with Cyclops. After all, Jean Grey was still kneeling in pain, and Professor X had passed out. It was impossible for Scott Summers, her boyfriend and student, to handle the situation rationally.

He never considered that What If...? Quicksilver's intervention, he would probably have been turned into mincemeat long ago.

Cyclops, however, was only angry at Quicksilver for interfering, and his actions became increasingly violent. He repeatedly warned Quicksilver to back off, and even extended his old comrade into his attack range.

All of this was observed by the sorcerers of Kamar-Taj, who were far away and detached from the situation, including Tony Stark.

He said thoughtfully, "Teacher, is this why you forbid us from mentioning anything related to magic to Henry? So that we can use magic against him in situations like this."

"I regret to say, yes," the Ancient One said frankly. "What If...? he were exposed to magic too early, he would find a way to deal with us."

"Then there's no way to resolve this matter today. We can only rely on him to deal with the Sentry, and magic is our only means of defeating him."

Although he didn't witness what happened before, Tony Stark believed that Charlize Theron's death was key to that person's personality shift.

Although I don't know why he was wearing Superman's red and blue suit, a red cape, and red underwear on the outside?

Looking at this tacky outfit, Tony Stark just wanted to calm the other person down quickly so he could properly laugh at him.

The Book of the Vishanti had long been put away, and the Eye of Agamotto hung calmly on his chest. Tony Stark said, "Teacher, you should know very well that the key to resolving this matter is not to use magic to deal with anyone, right?"

As Tony Stark began his stance, the Ancient One grabbed him. The Sorcerer Supreme said, "On the first day I taught you, I should have told you about the taboos of white magic."

"Holy magic must never challenge death. Anyone who violates this taboo cannot simply say 'sorry' and be done with it. Not only will you lose the person you wanted to save, but you yourself will also pay the price."

"I see." Tony Stark suddenly blurted out, looking at his teacher, "The other senior students all went to Kamar-Taj on their own initiative to seek the true meaning of magic, but I was the only one who came to you personally. You've already seen what happened today, haven't you?"

Tony Stark wasn't some naive genius. He might sometimes deceive himself, but he was keenly aware of the harsh realities of life and understood why his entry into Kamar-Taj was so unusual.

Lowering her hand from her student's, Ancient One said regretfully, "I truly believe you are qualified to inherit the title of Sorcerer Supreme."

"But I don't find magic interesting anymore." What Tony Stark didn't say was that being with someone with ulterior motives had worsened his mood.

Because of the so-called taboo, he gave up using the Book of the Vishanti. Tony Stark didn't believe that sacrificing one's own life without being able to save another was a worthless trade. So he had to choose another approach.
