Catherine Hepburn, without giving it much thought, simply said, "Oh, I see. Then, child, why don't you move in with us? I'll take care of you."

Several people exclaimed in surprise at the same time, including Henry himself. He had never expected such a turn of events.

Catherine Hepburn confidently replied, "What's there to worry about? You think you can eat this old woman out of house and home with just one more mouth to feed?"

"Besides, there are plenty of empty rooms here, which is better than making you sleep under a bridge. I can even pay you a salary, under the title of 'personal assistant.' Audrey did the same thing back then."

"Or are Hepburn saying you only want to be Audrey's assistant, but not mine? Just like the disappointed look on your face when you first saw me. Only Audrey will do, Catherine won't."

The old lady pouted, looking aggrieved. Her eyes were brimming with tears, as if she was about to cry.

Henry swore it was all acting! She could change her expression in an instant, and start crying on cue. Even though nothing was wrong, she acted like she was incredibly aggrieved, as if the whole world had wronged her.

All I can say is that her acting skills, worthy of four Oscars- winning actresses, are so good that even Kryptonian can't resist them!

These actresses, why are they all so difficult to deal with? This one is like that, and the previous one was the same.

Henry, his eyes darting around, was racking his brains for a way to evade the question. He said, "I have a pet cat. Are pets allowed here? It wouldn't be good if it caused trouble everywhere."

"It's okay. There's no ban on pets in this building. Quite a few people have dogs and cats at home. If it weren't just Maria Stark and me here, and I wasn't worried about not being able to take good care of them, I'd like to get a pet too. If you have one, that would be great, bring it with you."

Henry persisted, "But my pet cat weighs over 600 pounds. Is that really okay?"

Whether or not she understood the significance of the number, Catherine Hepburn made a very fake surprised expression.

"Oh, it's so big. That's perfect. I don't like small things like Pomeranian or Chihuahua; it's like I'd sit on them and kill them."

Henry thought to himself, if the old lady wasn't afraid of going crazy, Kitty could carry her around until her whole body was broken apart.

Why would I be afraid of being sat on and killed?

Moreover, the old woman's thoughts didn't seem like mere polite words at all. Catherine Hepburn had already planned what Henry could do for her if he moved in. And what could she do if she had a "kitten" for company?

Her schedule was different every day from Monday to Sunday, but it was always packed full. This shows how much she was looking forward to it.

Some people say that the elderly are like children, and there's Reason that. Many elderly people do things that are annoying, but in essence, it's the same as a child trying to get attention by crying—it's all a manifestation of fear of loneliness.

Audrey Hepburn was very fortunate to have Robert Wolders as her life partner during the final years of her life. But Catherine Hepburn did not have such a person.

Maria Stark Tom, her private nurse, was not by her side 24/7. Maria Stark had her own life and family.

This is why Ms. Hepburn's siblings, nephews, and nieces wanted her to move back to Connecticut and live with them.

Because Catherine Hepburn was living alone in New York, she didn't receive adequate care. She was 92 years old at the time.

To be fair, Henry wasn't particularly opposed to taking care of the old lady. It was surprising that she had actually compared him to Spencer...

The overwhelming excitement of being listed alongside figures like "Tresse," "Howard Stark," and "John Ford" filled my chest.

Anyway, I don't have anything else to do. The money I've earned working at Stark Studios over the past few years is enough to keep me from having to worry for the rest of my life.

At most, it involves handcrafting combat suits and establishing a global monitoring and early warning system. Whenever a major event occurs somewhere, they'll know immediately which route to take and absolutely avoid.

If I have the resources, I'll try building a spaceship or submarine. If Earth becomes uninhabitable, I'll colonize Mars! We'll be under the same Yellow Sun then.

This confidence gave Henry the assurance to face any danger without fear. If he couldn't handle the consequences, he could at least avoid them.

But New York... is it really a dump that everyone in the Marvel Universe avoids like the plague?

"Don't you want to?" Catherine Hepburn asked in a pitiful voice.

"This—" Henry subconsciously shrank back and leaned back.

This action seemed to have an attractive effect, causing the old woman sitting in the chair to stand up and exert pressure on Henry. "Is that not allowed?"

"It's not that it's impossible. It's just—" Henry stammered, trying to find an excuse.

"Hmm~?" Catherine Hepburn, having left her seat, bent down and looked down at Henry's face. Her large eyes stared at the guilty Kryptonian eyes darted around nervously.

Henry was about to turn around and scramble off the chair, practically tumbling away, when the old woman grabbed his beard and pulled him back. "If you're a man, be decisive! Good is good, and bad is bad."

"Even my five-year-old grandniece isn't as fussy as you. If you dare say anything negative, don't let me see you on the street, lining up like a homeless person to receive handouts. Every time I see you like that, I'll beat you up."

Unable to withstand the pressure, Henry could only plead, "Fine! Fine! I'll move in. I'll help, I'll be your little assistant again, okay?"

Catherine Hepburn immediately cheered like a triumphant little girl, raising her hands and spinning around in place.

With the pressure lifted and Henry relieved, he suddenly remembered that someone's quietness was quite strange. Turning his head, he saw Tony Stark with a relieved, aunt-like smile on his face, an expression that was utterly infuriating.

He mouthed the unspoken phrase "friend of women." It seems this Kryptonian can't shake off that title.

Without rushing to settle scores with this guy, Henry caught the overly excited old lady, spun her around until she almost fell, and helped her back to her seat.

He added, "Catherine, I need to make this clear to you. You need to let your family know about hiring me. And we need to sign a formal employment contract, specifying the job duties and scope of authorization."

Catherine Hepburn made a strange sound. "Does it have to be this complicated?"

"Of course you need it." Henry nodded emphatically. This old lady wasn't the kind of woman who would be looked down upon if she walked by the roadside.

The house they live in now, located on East 49th Street Turtle Bay Manhattan, where Catherine Hepburn lived for over 60 years, is estimated to be worth over ten million dollars, definitely a luxury home.

I won't help her calculate her private assets.

Although she has no children of her own, she has younger siblings, who in turn have their own families. It's not just the second generation; there might even be a third and fourth generation.

Therefore, Catherine Hepburn was not like John Brown, the Alaska bar owner and her benefactor, who was the true loner.

Henry didn't want his well-intentioned care for the old lady to become a reason for a lawsuit against her family. Therefore, having a written agreement outlining rights and responsibilities from the outset was the best way to avoid future disputes.
