Winston Scott didn't rush to refute Henry's statement. Instead, he nodded in agreement, saying, "I know old Charlie; he's right. Who would want to be like Vampires, forced to hide at night when they can walk in the daytime?"

As he spoke, the old gentleman made a perfunctory gesture, downed his glass of whiskey in one gulp, and gently placed it on the table. He continued, "But what's disgusting about the Underworld is that it pulls people in."

"It's like how demons tempt Angel to fall, and fallen Angel drag other Angel down with them, not caring what the Angel living peacefully in heaven think. This is the nature of this world."

"Do you know the story of how I became a hotel manager? Actually, I had the opportunity to become a respectable businessman in London, and even found a way into the royal family. If you just gave me the title of 'Royal Warrants,' I would have been set for life."

"But this damned life never lets those who have been mired in the mire off easily. Sometimes courage and perseverance are worthless in the face of a life-threatening situation."

Like a sudden exclamation from an elderly person, Winston Scott realized his grammatical error and explained with a hint of apology, "Oh, please don't misunderstand me as threatening. I was just talking about what happened to me; your situation isn't that serious."

Henry casually put down his glass and said, "So what can I do for you? Like old Charlie suggested, grab Uzi submachine gun and charge headlong into the enemy's direction."

"Once we get close, I'll open fire. If anyone's stupid enough not to run, no one can beat me. But I can only do something this stupid once. Otherwise, I'll get arrested by the police."

Winston Scott feigned surprise and said, "No, how could I possibly ask you to do something like that? Murder is a job with no barriers to entry; many people can do it. What truly makes you stand out is your seemingly limitless medical skills."

"Heh, this is United States, the world's best doctors are all gathered here. I'm nothing special compared to them."

Winston Scott was somewhat unimpressed by Henry's modesty. "As far as we know, the procedures you've performed are nothing compared to those medical authorities."

"But these doctors also said that their expertise in specific fields is what has made them who they are today. They can't be like you, seemingly knowing everything, able to do everything, and without a single failure record."

"Especially your limb reattachment technique is beyond reproach. Those who have had their hands or feet reattached live lives after recovery in a way that makes it impossible to tell that their hands or feet were ever completely severed."

"Besides your superb medical skills, I believe you can also understand that many people are not suitable for regular hospitals. And those medical authorities are not people who can be ordered around at will."

"Many people rely on these medical authorities to prolong their lives, so these people become the doctors' protectors. This also gives doctors the leverage to refuse invitations from this side. So you can imagine how important a resource excellent medical technology is."

Henry wasn't surprised that they were focusing on this. He didn't even want to ask if they knew about his "Tinkerer" identity. They must know to say such things; and it seemed they knew quite a lot of details.

Henry, seemingly chatting but actually complaining, said, "Yeah, looking back now, I can understand why many doctors are unwilling to treat the people here."

"Although it is said that a doctor's duty is to save lives and should not discriminate between different patients, sometimes you still encounter those damn bastards. Forget about saving lives, I would rather send them to their death right there on their hospital bed."

"But due to the rules, I had to heal them, so I followed the rules, but I also felt it was meaningless. The reason I stopped was not because I was afraid my skills would be challenged, but because the evil in my heart was already being challenged."

Do you know how easy it is to let a patient die unexpectedly on the operating table? It may seem like the surgery is over, but if there is even the slightest negligence in postoperative care, the person will still pass away.

"These bastards dare to trust me, laying their most vulnerable parts bare before me. What do they rely on? They think that if they're gone, someone else will avenge them, so no one dares to mess with them. But am I afraid?"

"Even if I didn't do it, I've done everything I could and explained everything clearly. But human life is fragile; it can be gone in an instant. And then the blame is placed on me. What should I do then?"

"So for everyone's sake, let's not give me that opportunity. Mr. Scott should understand that it's really easy for a doctor to kill someone. Anyone who says it's difficult is probably a mediocre doctor."

Behind these complaints lies a serious warning. This is reminiscent of the cases of California State Representative Mike Halton and mob boss Andrew Saxon.

The former wanted to use Henry Brown's invulnerability as a Mutants to resist the assassination attempt at the Continental Hotel, but ended up losing his life. At the time, Henry Brown was uncooperative and played no role whatsoever.

The latter involves arresting someone for surgery, resulting in various complications during the procedure, and ultimately leading to imprisonment by the police. With the sentences accumulating, they could serve at least a hundred or two hundred years. They have no chance of ever coming out alive.

There were several other clashes between the Los Angeles Police Department and the California FBI. While not a complete defeat, Henry Brown only suffered minor losses and always managed to escape unscathed, while the police and the FBI were left looking rather foolish.

The Continental Hotel in Los Angeles does have some dirty secrets. But unless it involves a murder case, even if they were brought out and he were brought to justice, it wouldn't be a big deal given his current wealth.

Compared to his time under Stark protection, he's now all alone. Who knows how many people would be willing to extend an olive branch? Who would be foolish enough to play the villain and let others benefit? That's why those powerful families are still observing.

The most likely opportunity to control him was when the Vampires began their invasion of Stark Studios. Who knew that at that time, the Vampires hunters in California were like they were on steroids, launching various attacks that wiped out the radicals and forced the conservatives into hiding.

You could say that this person is as slippery as an eel, impossible for anyone to catch. And if someone does manage to grab them, they'll find that they're actually just a piece of plastic tube coated with soap bubbles, completely impervious to cutting or biting.

Winston Scott gave a wry smile for the first time and said, "Mr. Brown, I certainly understand your thinking. But you can imagine just how crazy those people are who are clinging to a sliver of hope."

Henry laughed and said, "Haha, don't worry. Once you've said those things, those who want to live will naturally think twice. How foolish it would be to seek treatment from someone who doesn't have a proper medical degree, hasn't passed the medical exam, and of course, isn't qualified to be a doctor."

"I have never taken the Hippocrates Oath, and the law does not protect such behavior. If anyone thinks they can take me to court, I don't mind playing along. Let's see who has more time to save their life."

"Even if they want to compete to see who has more guns, they still can't guarantee they won't die on my operating table. If you don't believe me, go ahead and gamble with your life."

"To be honest, if you really had that much free time to force me to save people, I could have found other methods and cured them long ago. There's no such thing as an illness that only I can cure."
