The Girl Sent Back to School

Mary Sue Putz, born July 2, 1988, is registered at St. Agnes Orphanage in New York City. The institution is affiliated with the Catholicism Clinton Church and is located in Hell's Kitchen, Manhattan.

The Priest and nuns who run the Church are, to be honest, good people. But in this area, it's really hard to find any decent foster families.

This is why Mary Sue Skye repeatedly ran away from her foster family and ultimately ended up living in the sewers.

To get the girl back to school, Henry arranged a new identity and experience for her: Skye Putz, a distant relative of Catherine Hepburn.

Although she herself only wanted the name "Skye," she didn't have a surname, which would make it difficult to register her in the household registration system. Therefore, Henry used her original surname instead of his own or Catherine's.

In the past, if you wanted to obtain a real identity, you had to go through a broker like Old Tom from Alaska and follow the proper channels.

Today, things are much less complicated. Although not through official channels, Henry could easily use Hacker techniques to access the government's computer system and embed a complete set of real identity information.

As for such trivial matters as identification, aside from the fact that it wasn't officially produced, it wouldn't have been difficult for Henry to make an identical one.

In short, with a new identity, and thanks to her relationship with Catherine Hepburn and a substantial donation, the little girl was finally sent back to public school to receive the happy education of the American Empire.

The reason we didn't send her to a private boarding school is that these prestigious schools are more thorough in screening students' identities and don't accept just anyone.

On the other hand, fearing that this little girl, who had lived in the Sewer World, would bully her classmates from privileged backgrounds, they simply sent her to a public school.

Since the two groups don't really get along, suddenly putting them in the same environment would make anyone uncomfortable. In comparison, while public schools are a mixed bag, they don't deviate too much from Skye's habits.

Henry was saved trouble, but the little girl was unhappy.

When Skye came home from school, she first greeted Catherine Hepburn affectionately, then greeted Maria Stark Tom, and even went to pet Kitty, the "big cat." Then she threw down her schoolbag and came to Henry with a sour face.

"Why should I go to school? It's full of idiots."

"Because I've suffered so much, how can I not let you experience the same hardships? Even if they're stupid, learning how to live with idiots is the most basic skill for integrating into society. You can't afford not to learn it."

"Liar! I heard from Kate that you've never been to school and have no academic qualifications whatsoever. Tony Stark confirmed that."

"A degree is simply a certificate issued by a school to certify that my knowledge level has reached a certain standard. The problem is, I don't believe any school or professor is qualified to certify me. So what's the point of going to school and getting that piece of paper?"

Skye nodded quickly and said, "Yes, I think so too. I already know everything taught in school, why should I waste my time in a place like that?"

"You've learned it all? Really?" Henry, lying on the sofa, looked up from the book in his hands and at the girl standing beside the sofa, dressed like a little boy.

It's safe to say that having a grandmother like Catherine Hepburn in your family makes any hope of girls being cute unrealistic. Hepburn herself dressed in a neutral style, and she probably wore dresses more often in movies than in real life.

With her as a backer, getting Skye to dress in a cute style is no less difficult than getting newly elected United States President George W. Bush to wear a dress to the White House and appear on the news.

Henry, however, had no interest in dressing up dolls. He simply looked at the boastful girl and asked, "Since you say you don't have to go to school anymore, then answer my question."

"Given that a planet orbits a star with a period of 365.24219 days, its orbit is considered circular, and the distance between the planet and the star is 149598023000 meters, what is the mass of the star?"

"Uh..." Skye stammered.

"I don't know. Then let's solve another simpler math problem. 2^8 + 2^11 + 2^n is a perfect square. Find the natural number n."

"Uh..." Still stuck.

Henry buried his eyes back in his book and said, "Study hard, son. These two problems aren't particularly difficult. I didn't test you with some unsolved mathematical conjecture. If you can't even do these, what right do you have to say you don't need to study?"

Skye said, displeased, "Do you even know the answer yourself?"

Henry, without looking up, said, "The first question is actually about the Earth and the Sun Pharma. According to the law of universal gravitation, we can get a formula and conclude that the mass of the Sun Pharma is about 1.989 x 10^30 kilograms."

"The natural number n in the second math problem is 12. I'm not testing you with random or unsolvable questions; if you can't even do this, it just means you haven't studied enough."

Skye muttered, "What's the use of learning all this? We won't use it in daily life."

Still with his eyes buried in the book, Henry said, "If you only want to do jobs like waiting tables in restaurants or carrying bricks on construction sites, then of course you don't need to learn these things."

"But opportunity favors the prepared mind. What If...? you don't have enough knowledge or skills, even if opportunity knocks, you won't be able to seize it. So, will you settle for mediocrity, or strive for that sky-high chance?"

Skye countered, "So, do you have such ambitions? An ambitious person wouldn't lie on the sofa all day like a useless person, would they?"

Henry peered out from the bottom edge of the book. "Do you know how much I'm worth? I have sixty million in my bank account and over ten million in investment accounts. I'm financially independent; I can live a life of leisure. Are you?"

... She couldn't continue. Skye just wanted to find an axe and chop off the guy's exposed neck as he lay on the sofa. Even if she couldn't kill him, it would at least let her vent her anger.

"Ding-dong!" The doorbell rang, and BB, who had rolled out of the charging station, immediately ran to answer the door.

Entering the room was a beautiful young woman in her late teens, Gwen Stacy. She naturally greeted Catherine Hepburn and her personal nurse first, then went to the sofa and greeted them, "Hello, Henry, Skye."

Henry then said to the young girl standing beside him, "Your tutor is here. Go and catch up. You need to find a way to catch up on your studies as soon as possible. Otherwise, forget about applying to university, you might not even have a high school to attend."

Skye glared angrily at the person lying on the sofa, while Gwen tried to smooth things over, saying, "Skye is very smart. The coursework before ninth grade is quite simple; it won't be a problem for her."
