Green Goblin Attacks

Before he had figured out what to do, or reunited with the old lady and Skye, the Green Goblin had already arrived first, riding his Goblin Glider and trailing black smoke behind him.

New Yorkers' big hearts were on full display at that moment.

On the one hand, this was a fantastical world, and a bunch of enormous parade balloons were floating in the sky. Everyone probably took that tiny speck in the air for some kind of performance; some even cheered loudly for it.

That was, until the Green Goblin flew past a high-rise balcony and tossed several specially enhanced Pumpkin Bombs!

They were specially enhanced because those Pumpkin Bombs not only blew apart a sizable high-rise balcony, but one of them even blasted several Oscorp directors so thoroughly that not even their remains were left behind!

That kind of power had never been shown in the movies, whether when the bombs later hit Spider-Man or when Green Goblin II took one himself. Spider-Man had only suffered a damaged mask and a bleeding face, while Green Goblin II had sustained severe burns across half his face.

If the Pumpkin Bombs were equally powerful, and could blow ordinary people apart so completely that not even ashes remained, it was hard to imagine just how tough Spider-Man and those enhanced by the Green Goblin Formula really were.

Could their skin stop bullets on its own, or did it come with enhanced fire resistance?

Henry was still frantically snarking to himself when chunks of rubble blasted from the shattered balcony began raining down everywhere, throwing the New Yorkers below into panic.
