The alarm that sounded after Henry collapsed was actually part of the care system he had built for Katharine Hepburn.

Whenever he was not nearby, if anything happened to the elderly woman, the alarm could alert the neighbors so they could provide necessary assistance immediately.

At the same time, his alarm system was connected through computers and telephones to the emergency systems of the police and ambulances, allowing those two proper rescue services to be notified in the shortest possible time.

Even if it turned out to be a false alarm, the neighbors would probably understand. After all, it concerned an elderly woman nearly a hundred years old.

Besides, Katharine Hepburn was fairly well-liked, and Henry usually made an effort to maintain good relations. Interactions between neighbors might sometimes be merely superficial, but when the critical moment came, that little bit of courtesy could be the helping hand that made all the difference.

More importantly, if something like this happened and the neighbors refused to help, it could affect property values!
