After seeing Lorna off, Dane and Quicksilver left. The old lady was still quite worried about where they were going, so she kept pestering Henry with questions about Mutants, Professor X, and Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters.
Skye was naturally even more concerned. But she also knew perfectly well that if she asked, Henry would only dodge the question.
This man was clearly hiding many things from her. Henry had even frankly admitted that he was holding things back. If she wanted to know, she would have to wait until the day she came of age—until she was legally eighteen. Before then, Henry would not say another word.
Although she did not know why this man insisted so strongly, the only person who could truly make him talk was Catherine Hepburn herself. So when faced with the old lady's questions, Henry spilled everything he could. He nearly went through the X-Men's entire past, their loves and grudges. Of course, he did not mention a single word about the major battles connected to himself.
The old lady only wanted to know what the X-Men were like and what that school for gifted youngsters was like. Catherine Hepburn was far too worldly to press him on the parts Henry deliberately glossed over.
Perhaps it was because she was already so old that she cared especially deeply about children. Even if a child had nothing to do with her, once she encountered one, there was no reason for her to stand by and ignore them.
Catherine Hepburn could no longer bear to see children suffer. After learning about Lorin and Lorna, aunt and niece, she also felt that the two of them deserved a good outcome, so she worked hard to make it happen.
But doing something did not mean she could simply
