Having just seen off John Wick, another familiar face came running in.
The Cuban-American nurse Claire Temple looked at the empty hospital bed. "Where is he? Don't tell me he ran off without paying, leaving you behind to work off the debt?"

Seeing the part-time student nurse assistant trying to act professional while suffering terribly from holding back her laughter, Henry had no idea how to criticize the girl. He could only steer the conversation back to business.

In American hospitals, clinical staff and administrative staff were quite clearly separated. The benefit was that medical personnel could focus their energy on treatment rather than being bogged down by trivial administrative matters.
