History
Following the conclusion of the Three Clans Hegemony, the Demon Clan rose as one of the central powers of the Witch and Demon Rise era. Its Ancient Demon Court stood on Mount Buzhou, led in practice by Di Jun and Donghuang Taiyi while Nüwa maintained a largely neutral position. 77 88
The clan began recruiting Chosen Ones through a decree issued by Taiyi, with Kunpeng Demon Master entrusted with the recruitment effort. The Demon Clan regarded Chosen Ones as a source of manpower and sought to recruit Ye Tian specifically because of his unmatched influence among them. 88 173
Nüwa later brought Ye Tian to a Demon Court council meeting, where he proposed a preemptive war against the Witch Clan and a plan to steal its stars. The proposal intensified Witch Clan suspicions that the Demon Clan was preparing for open conflict. 195
The clan’s position collapsed when Ye Tian’s schemes contributed to Nüwa’s formal withdrawal. Multiple major powers then severed ties with the Demon Clan, leaving Di Jun and Taiyi isolated and forcing them to accelerate preparations for war. 250 251
Witch and Demon War
Opening Offensive
Di Jun deployed nine Three-legged Golden Crows over Witch Clan territory, transforming them into nine blazing suns that scorched the land, ignited settlements, and rapidly lowered river levels. The Demon Clan treated the strike as a feint while its army gathered outside Witch territory. 238 239 240
The Golden Crows disappeared shortly after entering the no-man’s-land of the Primordial World, causing panic among the Demon Clan’s field commanders and shock in the Ancient Demon Court. 241 242
Escalation
With the clan isolated and its Golden Crow force compromised, Di Jun created a new Golden Crow and authorized Kunpeng to command the Demon Clan army. The Demon Clan then began a full-scale offensive against the Witch Clan. 251 252
- The clan fielded Demon Kings, Generals, Lords, and soldiers as casualties rapidly mounted on both sides. 256 258
- It intended to use the blood of billions of humans to condense the Witch Slaughtering Sword, a weapon meant to kill the Twelve Ancestral Witches. 258 259
- Kunpeng and Nine Infants led the attack on the Human Clan’s territory, seeking human vital blood for the sword. 260
Defeat at the Human Clan
Ye Tian’s intervention devastated the invading force. He killed more than two million Demon Soldiers within three minutes and earned the titles Demon Clan Terminator and Demon Clan Terrifier. 262
Nine Infants was killed during the Human Clan campaign, while Kunpeng Demon Master was revealed as Ye Tian’s son and turned against the Demon Clan. Ye Tian seized and upgraded the Witch Slaughtering Sword using Demon Clan blood essence and Nine Infants’ death. 263 264
By this point, Bai Ze and two other Great Demon Generals had died, leaving only seven of the Ten Great Demon Generals. 264
Collapse and Reorganization
Near the war’s end, Di Jun and Taiyi fought each other despite both being heavily wounded, exposing their rivalry for supremacy within the Demon Clan. 288
The Witch and Demon War ended with Ye Tian killing Di Jun and the leaders of the Twelve Ancestral Witches. Nüwa then resumed leadership of the Demon Clan, while Ye Tian gained the allegiance of 9,999 Star Demon Sovereigns and became the Lord of Ten Thousand Stars. 291
