History

Descent into Primordial World

During Earth's spiritual-energy resurgence and resulting apocalypse, humanity had spent ten years surviving in underground cities. The appearance of the login bracelets and the announcement of Primordial World gave humans a route to acquire usable combat power, prompting their mass entry into the game. 1

Their arrival immediately distinguished them from the native races. While ordinary Chosen Ones initially formed small groups to complete novice quests and avoid the dangers outside beginner villages, exceptional players could rapidly outpace the broader population. 4 5

Recognition by the Primordial Races

The native clans quickly identified the Chosen Ones as both a resource and a threat. During the Dragon–Qilin conflict, the Qilin Clan considered eliminating individual Chosen Ones insignificant, while also recognizing that the newcomers’ divided loyalties could be exploited. 16

The East Sea Dragon King, meanwhile, had already considered recruiting Chosen Ones because of their ability to continually cultivate and level up. 21 Progenitor Dragon later learned that many races were attempting recruitment, though Ye Tian’s influence had made the competition for strong Chosen Ones more difficult. 47

Recruitment Race

Nüwa Palace began formally recruiting female Chosen Ones by offering cultivation techniques, secret manuals, facilities, and access to secret realms. The Four Seas Dragon Kings subsequently recruited male Chosen Ones for the Dragon Clan, while Yuanshi Tianzun opened recruitment for the Heavenly Origin Sect through the Twelve Golden Immortals. 87

The Demon Clan and Witch Clan soon followed with their own recruitment decrees, turning the Chosen Ones into a major factor in the struggle among the Primordial World's races. 88 Later, the Intercept Sect and Western Sect also sought Chosen Ones to strengthen their respective forces. 140

Influence on Major Conflicts

The Chosen Ones’ faction choices could determine the scale and outcome of major instances and wars. In the Gonggong–Zhurong instance, 10.1 billion Chosen Ones selected Water God Gonggong’s faction, while none selected Fire God Zhurong’s. 215

When Ye Tian ordered an attack on Zhurong’s forces, billions of Chosen Ones acted on his command. 216 During the Witch–Demon conflict, five million Chosen Ones simultaneously withdrew from the Witch Clan and teleported away, depriving the clan of its intended cannon fodder. 240 They later gathered alongside Ye Tian and the Human Clan in response to a large-scale confrontation mission. 317

Six Paths of Reincarnation

After Ye Tian activated the Six Paths of Reincarnation, the Chosen Ones’ attributes began changing. Ye Qing and others noticed their bodies and attributes becoming stronger as a result. 312

Faction Relations

• Primordial Myriad Races — Native inhabitants collectively call players “Chosen Ones” because of their sudden arrival from another realm. 4
