Nüwa observed Ye Tian from afar during the Dragon-Phoenix Tribulation, when his status as the foremost Chosen One left a lasting impression on her. Through Chang'e—the first person Nüwa created—she could sense further information about him, and her attachment deepened over time. Ye Tian also left her a Jade Slip detailing matters connected to her path to sainthood; Nüwa's ascension is attributed to his earlier assistance. 80

After merging with the Dao, Nüwa became a disciple of Hongjun and one of the Demon Clan's Saintly Paragons. Despite this position, she lived quietly in Wa Palace and avoided involvement in the Demon Court's affairs, maintaining neutrality among the Primordial World's major factions. 79
