Standing on the contestants' platforms, Yu Hai and Erlang both smiled and nodded, treating it as a greeting without letting anyone know they knew each other.

"Ludicolo?" Erlang stared in surprise when he saw Ludicolo. He had expected Yu Hai to use a Ground-type Pokémon. After all, Yu Hai was an Electric-type Club trainer, and he had never revealed Venusaur before.

"Still too young." Yu Hai couldn't help but chuckle. His opponent was on the second floor while he was already on the third.

His opponent had thought he could use an Electric-type Pokémon to lure Yu Hai into sending out a Ground-type Pokémon, then use Venusaur to counter it and gain the initiative. But Yu Hai had anticipated that long ago.

When it came to powerful Pokémon that countered Ground-types, Yu Hai guessed his opponent could probably get Water-types or Grass-types. He had not considered Ice-types.

Against Water-type and Grass-type Pokémon, he first ruled out Flying-types. Flying-types were countered by Electric-types and did not counter Water-types either, unless he sent out Zapdos.

But under the current circumstances, exposing Zapdos was unsuitable. Once others learned he had Zapdos, endless hunts and schemes would follow, unless he became an Elite Four Trainer.

Pseudo-Legendaries and Legendary Pokémon could not be lumped together. No matter how powerful a Pseudo-Legendary was, it was still not a Legendary Pokémon. He could not protect a Legendary Pokémon yet.
