Background / History

The Myriad Laws Sacred Land was formerly known as the Myriad Laws Heavenly Sect. It had once fallen from Sacred Land status due to the Divine Ruins, but a reviving patriarch eventually turned the situation around and attained Mahayana, allowing the sect to rise again as an eighth-rank Sacred Land 496 501 506.

The sect retains long-standing ties to the Southern Wasteland Domain. Yanfa Sect's founding patriarch originally came from the Myriad Laws Heavenly Sect before establishing his lineage in the Southern Wasteland after being severely injured by an Outer Realm Enemy 232. Ancestor Tianyuan also left a Dao lineage in the Southern Wasteland, whose later inheritors were uncertain whether the Sacred Land would recognize them 375 376.

Ji Haoyuan's party learned of the sect's elevation while gathering information on Lingya Island. The discovery transformed their goal from locating the old Myriad Laws Heavenly Sect into seeking entry to a Mahayana-backed Sacred Land 376 377.

Ji Haoyuan's Entry

Ji Haoyuan traveled directly to Myriad Laws Sacred Mountain rather than waiting for the public recruitment assembly. His Elder Token resonated with the mountain gate's restrictions, allowing him to enter and drawing the attention of several Late Deity Transformation Great Venerables 385.

After declaring himself a disciple of Ancestor Tianyuan, Ji was received cautiously while the elders deliberated on his admission. Chongming Hall ultimately recognized his identity and granted him ordinary inner-disciple status 386 388.

Myriad Laws Sacred Mountain is protected by entry restrictions that prevent cultivators without the proper status from entering. Its surroundings contain spiritual springs, waterfalls, spiritual flora, immortal beasts, spirit birds, and Dao sounds that can cleanse a listener's heart 385.

Within the mountain gate, spiritual peaks rise beneath dense spiritual clouds, with flying waterfalls, Cave Mansions, and Tier 5 spirit veins. Even a temporary Spiritual Peak provided to Ji Haoyuan possessed a Tier 5 spirit vein and spiritual vitality far beyond ordinary cultivation grounds 386.
