Background / History

Qin Lan Shan is the adopted daughter of the Duke of Tang. When the Tang State Residence falls into crisis, she goes alone to the Realm Protectorate and kneels outside Su Qing's home in the rain to seek his help. Though she understands that intervening could endanger the Realm Protectorate, she is willing to pay any price to save her foster father and family 1 2.

Su Qing refuses to act on empty promises and demands her allegiance in return. Qin Lan Shan eventually accepts a black collar—identified as a Soul Shackling Ring—and agrees to become his slave.
