One day, Dumbledore was admiring a photo of a blonde old man in the Headmaster's office.
Suddenly, an explosion sounded from outside the door, and the floor seemed to shake.
Dumbledore quickly put away the photo album and rushed to the door to check the situation.
As soon as he stepped out, he saw Horatio sticking C4 onto the wall outside the Headmaster's office. He was so startled that he immediately stopped Horatio, "Kid, what are you doing?"
"Old man, I needed to see you, but the gargoyle at your door wouldn't let me in, so I gave it a good one," Horatio said, pointing at the shattered stone statue.
"Since I couldn't get into the Headmaster's office through the front door, I thought I'd help you make a side entrance for easier access," Horatio continued sticking C4 onto the wall. "You don't need to thank me."
"Thank you? I'll thank my foot!!" Dumbledore quickly removed the C4 from the wall and restored the stone statue at the door to its original state. "I'll tell you the password to the Headmaster's office from now on, you don't need to be so extreme."
Dumbledore led Horatio into the Headmaster's office and said, "Alright, what did you want to see me about?"
Horatio took an egg out of his cloth bag and placed it on the table. "This was confiscated from Quirrell's office. It looks like a dragon egg. Find me a place, I want to raise a dragon for fun."
Dumbledore looked at the dragon egg on the table, his eye twitching. "Kid, fire dragons are too dangerous and cannot be tamed. How about I get you a Puffskein? Or a Niffler?"
"???"
"Old man, do you think I'm more dangerous or a fire dragon is more dangerous? If I can't raise a fire dragon, fine. Get me a Dementor, I want to study it."
In the end, Horatio gave up on raising a fire dragon, mainly because Dumbledore said it was too troublesome. Newly hatched baby fire dragons needed to be fed a bucket of brandy and chicken blood every half hour.
In return, Dumbledore agreed to have Hagrid send Horatio a baby Hippogriff to fulfill his need for a flying mount.
Horatio handed the dragon egg to Dumbledore and said, "The Quirrell alchemy golem you wanted is ready. As for what you want it to teach, you can make that up yourself.
Also, I've started teaching Harry the Disarming Charm and the Shield Charm. Honestly, is Harry really the so-called Chosen One? He seems as empty as a troll's head."
After that, Horatio took the pass Dumbledore gave him and went to Hagrid's hut.
Hagrid looked at the pass and led Horatio out of the hut. "Let's go. There's a nest of recently born Hippogriffs. I don't know why Dumbledore would allow a first-year wizard to raise a creature with a XXX danger rating?"
"Because I got a dragon egg. I originally wanted to raise a fire dragon as a mount, but Dumbledore said it was too troublesome, so I gave him the dragon egg. As compensation, he allowed me to raise a Hippogriff as a mount."
"You mean the dragon egg?" Hagrid looked regretful. "It's a shame you've already given it to Headmaster Dumbledore."
"Hagrid, do you like dragons a lot?"
"Yes, I dream of raising a dragon."
"Alright, in a few days for Christmas, I'll give you an alchemical fire dragon statue."
"Thank you very much."
They arrived at the Hippogriff territory. After Hagrid communicated with the adult Hippogriff guarding the young, he brought Horatio to a nest of baby Hippogriffs.
Horatio immediately took a liking to a pure white baby Hippogriff.
It was a female Hippogriff, its fur as white as snow in winter, with a pair of bright golden eyes. Its front eagle claws were sharp and powerful. Although it was still a cub, it was already much taller than Horatio.
As Horatio reached out to pet it, it suddenly opened its mouth and bit fiercely at his hand. Horatio reacted quickly and withdrew his hand just in time. The cub missed and let out a dissatisfied cry.
If you find this book good, remember to add it to your bookshelf to avoid losing it next time.
Hagrid said awkwardly, "Hippogriffs are very proud creatures. You have to bow to it first."
Horatio didn't care. He took out some beef jerky he made and usually fed to Hathor and the others from his cloth bag and carefully offered it to the cub.
The cub first looked at the beef jerky warily, then slowly approached, sniffed it with its nose, and suddenly snatched the beef jerky away.
After it finished eating, its eyes suddenly lit up, and it indicated to Horatio that it wanted more. Horatio took out another piece and took the opportunity to gently stroke its head. This time, it didn't resist.
Hagrid said in surprise, "Ah? It was tamed so easily?"
Horatio replied, "Do you know the value of good food? A mere little foal, easily handled."
Finally, Horatio, with the white Hippogriff he named Nut, walked out of the Forbidden Forest and into his large greenhouse.
Harry and Neville were carefully tending to a pot of Moly. They watched as Horatio led a beautiful Hippogriff into the greenhouse.
"What kind of animal is this?" Harry asked, a little surprised.
Horatio said to Harry, "Go and look it up in the book Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them yourself."
Then, Horatio introduced Hathor, who was on duty that day, to Nut, saying that they would be companions from now on and that Nut couldn't eat her.
Although Nut might not be able to defeat Hathor, who knew how many ridiculous magical items Horatio had added to the collar and bell on Hathor's neck.
However, Horatio still hoped they could get along friendly, and said that if they were hungry, they could go eat the two house elves next to them.
Harry and Neville: "..."
Then, Horatio left them a large amount of beef jerky and turned into his workshop to prepare a saddle with some ridiculous attributes for Nut.
Horatio considered for a moment and decided to first create a saddle with basic functions such as defense, counter-attack, and invisibility. Later, he would add functional modules like Annihilation laser cannons and Cruciatus Curse gatling guns.
Anyway, his pets couldn't suffer any grievances and must have the strength to wipe out Death Eaters or the Ministry of Magic.
By the time Horatio finished crafting the saddle, it was already dark. After equipping Nut with the saddle, he held Hathor and rode on Nut, preparing to fly back to Hogwarts.
Harry and Neville said, "What about us? We haven't gotten on yet?"
Horatio replied, "A mere house elf wants to freeload on my mount? Go back on your own."
In the end, Horatio cast a Levitation Charm on the two house elves, then tied ropes to their feet, and had Nut drag them like trash as they flew towards Hogwarts.
Flying into the Hogwarts Great Hall, Horatio dismounted and clapped his hands, and the ropes binding Harry and Neville's feet automatically loosened.
Under the stunned gazes of the young wizards, Horatio led Nut to the Gryffindor table and sat down next to Hermione.
"Is this a Hippogriff?"
"It seems Miss Know-It-All has quite the knowledge base." Placing Hathor on the dining table, Horatio replied.
"How did you manage that?"
"I told Dumbledore I wanted to become a dragon rider, but Dumbledore said dragons were too big and wouldn't fit in the dormitories, so I settled for a Hippogriff." Horatio said, stroking Nut's approaching head.
The next day, a story about a white prince and his two servants spread like wildfire throughout Hogwarts.
Malfoy of Slytherin remarked, "Riding a wand is totally lame. If you're going to ride something, ride a winged beast. I've already written to my father to ask for one."
