Background / History

During the Second Shinobi World War, Tsunade served alongside Jiraiya and Orochimaru while leading Konoha's medical efforts. Her lover and comrade, Dan Katō, was killed during the mission to obtain an antidote to Hanzō's poison, leaving Tsunade grieving amid the war. 16

She repeatedly kept Konoha's elite fighters alive under extreme conditions.
