Chapter 5: Chakra Nature

When he returned home, Uchiha Takashi was already waiting for Kagami at the door. Upon seeing him, Takashi turned and headed in another direction.

"Follow me."

Kagami obediently followed.

After a while, Uchiha Takashi led Kagami to the edge of a small lake.

Kagami fell into thought. He seemed to remember this place. Thinking carefully, wasn't this where Itachi's father taught Itachi the Great Fireball Technique in the original story?

"You can already produce chakra, correct?"

Uchiha Takashi gazed directly at the small lake.

Kagami nodded.

"Yes, Father."

Simply put, chakra was the product of combining physical energy and spiritual energy. Once one's body and mind reached a certain standard, one could produce chakra. After that, as the body and spirit continued to improve, the amount of chakra would steadily increase.

Among the students in Kagami's year, no one else could currently produce chakra, because neither their physical nor spiritual energy had reached the required level. "Hand Seals require you to form seal shapes. There are twelve seals in total: Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Ram, Monkey, Rooster, Dog, and Boar."

At that, Uchiha Takashi paused and raised both hands.

"If you want to learn ninjutsu, you may. But before that, you must firmly memorize these twelve seals. Next, I will demonstrate them for you one by one."

As he spoke, Uchiha Takashi's hands began to move. The index and middle fingers of his left hand stood upright, while his right hand clenched around those raised fingers.

"This is Rat."

His right hand was horizontal and his left hand vertical, the two hands crossed. The middle and ring fingers of his left hand bent over the back of his right hand.

"This is Ox."

Kagami watched his father's demonstration intently. Although he had seen these seals in his previous life, the people in anime formed them so quickly—who could remember them? He still had to learn them properly.

Kagami nodded repeatedly. Improving Hand Seal speed was extremely important, and of course he would work hard at it. As he spoke, Uchiha Takashi took out a sheet of paper and handed it to Kagami.

As Kagami infused his chakra, the Chakra Paper in his hand suddenly flared with fire and began to burn. Neither Kagami nor Uchiha Takashi was surprised. As an Uchiha clan member, Kagami's chances of possessing Fire Release were practically one hundred percent.
