Background / History

Naruto was treated as an outcast in Konoha because the Nine-Tails was sealed within him. Even Iruka initially held reservations toward him due to the Nine-Tails’ attack having killed Iruka’s parents 2 92. Despite this isolation, Naruto remained determined to become Hokage.

At the Ninja Academy, Naruto was commonly regarded as the dead last. He struggled with the Clone Jutsu, but his unusually large chakra reserves allowed him to master the Shadow Clone Jutsu after stealing the Scroll of Seals 89 92. His success earned him graduation and entry into the shinobi ranks 105.

Naruto developed an early bond with Uchiha Kagato. Kagato repeatedly encouraged him despite easily defeating him in sparring, while Naruto refused to believe that Kagato could ever truly become his enemy 10 83. After Kagato defected, Naruto continued to insist on his innocence and vowed to bring him back to Konoha 105.

Naruto is stubborn, direct, and exceptionally determined. Even when surrounded by opponents far stronger than himself, he focuses on overcoming them rather than merely surviving. He values bonds above political labels. Naruto refuses to abandon Kagato even after Kagato becomes a rogue ninja, extending that loyalty to Kagato’s companions Haku and Karin 105 231.
