The next day, Peggy told Leon, dark circles faintly visible beneath her eyes, that the door to Basement Level 2 had been opened.

"Boss, I took a look. There's almost no light down there, and visibility is extremely low. It's completely dark."

Leon nodded to show that he understood. When they set out, he took out ten brand-new pairs of Night Vision Goggles.

They had obtained them last time at the Wicks Outdoor Products Center. He had already considered that they might encounter insufficient lighting after entering the Military Base, so he had brought this kind of equipment along as well.

After everyone put on the Night Vision Goggles, they couldn't help praising their boss inwardly. Although he was somewhat capitalist at times, he was always reliable when it came to getting things done.

Upon entering the second level, the first thing that caught their eyes was a huge exhibition hall. More than a dozen types of Drone models were displayed inside, each placed in a glass case.

According to the descriptions outside the glass cases, these Drones were projects developed through cooperation between a company called Sterman Arms Group and the military.

There were transport Drones, reconnaissance Drones, fire-support Drones, assault Drones, and many other models.

What puzzled Leon and the others was that they couldn't find any guards who had turned into Zombies in the enormous exhibition hall. They only found scraps of clothing, scattered firearms, and broad trails of dragged blood on parts of the floor.

The Zombies here seemed to have been dealt with and dragged somewhere else. No one had even bothered to take the weapons from the ground.

This gave Leon a faint sense of danger, because this didn't seem like something humans would do.

He said to the others,
