On February 9, Leon was practicing shooting zombies with a sniper rifle alongside Kevira on the top floor of the hotel.
A message came from Daryl's Squad, who were exploring downtown.
"Boss, a group of people wants to meet you. They're from Grady Memorial Hospital."
Leon wasn't surprised by the news. He had always specifically assigned people to keep an eye on that place. It was precisely because he wasn't very interested in those survivors that they had been left alone until now.
As the Security Department continued exploring downtown, more and more blocks were liberated. The Zombies on some of the outer streets also began to be cleared out on a large scale.
Under Leon's arrangements, the Security Department and the Logistics Department worked together and adopted a strategy of dividing the area into sections. Using various large vehicles and metal mesh walls, they quickly blocked off every intersection, cut off the passages between different streets, and divided the blocks near downtown into countless small areas.
Targeting these small areas, Leon sent out a large number of personnel and improved Trap Trucks. They began systematically and effectively clearing the Zombies from each street.
After the Zombies on the street where Grady Memorial Hospital stood had been cleared out, the survivors inside the hospital also began cautiously exploring outside.
After several days of probing, the survivors who had been trapped in the hospital finally seemed to muster their courage. They decided to try contacting Umbrella Corporation, the dominant survivor organization in the Atlanta area.
Leon thought about it. Since they had taken the initiative to seek him out, he might as well meet them, even though he didn't have a very good impression of these surviving police officers.
"Take their weapons and bring them to the hotel to meet me."
