Thor is an Asgardian prince and the God of Thunder. He explains that Asgard is the home of the Aesir and guardian of the Nine Realms, while Midgard is Earth. Norse myths arose from Asgardians’ historical visits to Earth rather than the reverse. 77

Before his growth as a leader, Thor led Loki, Sif, and the Warriors Three into Jotunheim to confront Laufey. Laufey’s mockery provoked Thor into attacking, endangering his companions and escalating the conflict into battle. 52 After Russell rescued the group, Odin reprimanded Thor for starting a war without investigation or preparation; Thor accepted the lesson. 56
