Origin and purpose

Alaya is the collective consciousness of humanity, created solely to protect humanity's continued existence. It selects guardians capable of defending Human History, with ordinary Heroic Spirits functioning as temporary workers and Nameless operating as a permanent agent who can be dispatched across eras. Nameless signed a contract with Alaya after the destruction of Fuyuki City, sacrificing himself to save its victims. The contract placed him on the path of a humanity guardian, sending versions of him through numerous timelines and Singularities. 75 89 131

Exposure videos

Alaya began publicly uploading videos of Nameless's past, beginning with Nameless Heroic Spirit Biography!. The recordings restored memories erased by Nameless's earlier sacrifice, returning him to the recollection of Heroic Spirits and restoring a measure of his lost existence. 1 5 23

Alaya eventually manifested directly in a human form, identifying herself to Wei Gong as the Human Collective Consciousness. She stated that the form and personality he perceived were based on his own impression of her. 238

During Ares' attack on Nameless, Alaya entered the God of War's True God Domain as the Creation Mother Goddess, suppressing Ares' authority until he retreated. 231

Nameless's sacrifice during the Final Singularity awakened Alaya's independent consciousness. Alaya then used the Holy Grail of Stars to defeat Goetia, repair the Final Singularity, and free Fou from his beastly form; Nameless himself did not return from the battle. 490
