Background / History

Mashu was created as a test-tube baby and homunculus for Chaldea's Heroic Spirit experiments. Marisbury considered her a means to secure humanity's future rather than a person, while Romani Archaman became her attending physician and sought to prolong her limited life. Despite being told she would not live beyond eighteen, Mashu accepted the truth with unusual calmness. 404

During the initial Chaldea catastrophe, Mashu was buried beneath collapsing debris and nearly died. Her Senpai—identified in the account as Guda—summoned Galahad, who transferred his inheritance to her. This saved her life and made her a half-human, half-Heroic Spirit. 407 408

She subsequently accompanied Chaldea's Master through the Singularities, protecting Human History beside him. At some point, she lost the memories connected to her Senpai, yet instinctively called Wei Gong “Senpai” when they met in Fuyuki.
