| Stage / Realm / Level | Chapter | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Initial binding reward | 2 | Su Mo receives 100 Survival Points for binding the Doomsday Survival System, plus 5 points from the first environmental evaluation, for a total of 105. |
| 1,000-point threshold | 78 | Exceeding 1,000 Survival Points triggers a system update, unlocks its second function, and grants a draw. |
| 10,000-point threshold | 195 | Reaching 16,195 Survival Points triggers another update, unlocks the third function, and grants a draw. The unlocked function is later identified as the Training Ground. |
| White and Blue division | 500 | Survival Points are divided into White Survival Points, for inanimate-object upgrades, and Blue Survival Points, which can affect living beings. |
| System v1.1 classification | 1036 | The system introduces Construction, Item, Technology, and Special Survival Points, each with separate acquisition conditions and upgrade scopes. |
| Four categories fully charged | 1557 | Su Mo's four Survival Point reserves reach full charge with a combined value exceeding 10 million points, enough to restore sealed high-level functions if claimed. |
Acquisition
Survival Points were initially awarded through daily survival-environment assessments, achievements, milestones, combat, construction, discoveries, and changes to Su Mo's living conditions. The system's rewards are not fixed: minor improvements may yield only a few points, while major events can award hundreds or thousands at once 2 124.
- On the second day, shelter construction, water access, furniture, food, and environmental assessment yield 73 points in total 5.
- Passing the Humanity Trial while choosing a path between “light” and “darkness” awards 1,500 points 78.
- Building Hope Village for 137 people awards 10,000 points 294.
- Winning a ten-thousand-scale human–Alien Race war awards 20,000 points, while founding a new human–Alien Race relationship model awards another 3,000 369.
- Defending territory against a powerful God awards 200,000 points, reduced because Su Mo used power not fully his own 886.
Upgrade Mechanics
Survival Points cannot be directly exchanged for items. Instead, they serve as the Doomsday Survival System's upgrade resource, enabling it to improve, transform, repair, or create upgrade paths for a wide range of targets 2.
Material Conversion
Survival Points can substitute for required materials, though less efficiently than the actual substance. Supplying appropriate materials substantially reduces the point cost of an upgrade 2.
- Upgrading a wooden shelter door into a stone door ordinarily costs 60 Survival Points.
- Providing 10 units of stone and 2 units of wood reduces that same upgrade to 5 points 2.
- The system can also assimilate supplied materials into an upgrade rather than creating the entire result from points alone 2.
Equipment and Shelter Upgrades
- Su Mo spends 5 Survival Points to reinforce his Beech Spear into an iron-like weapon and another 5 to improve Pottery Armor 6.
- A crude shelter blueprint can be revised through several options costing 120, 280, or 300 Survival Points, depending on whether Su Mo prioritizes disaster resistance, planning, or correction of structural flaws 139.
- Fused authority buffs can be activated through point expenditure; for example, 500 points improves crop yield by 20%, while 5,000 points raises yield by 50% and may trigger mutation or upgrade potential 467.
Training Ground
The third system function, unlocked after exceeding 10,000 points, is the Training Ground. It simulates training scenarios for skill acquisition, with Survival Point costs varying by scenario intensity and reduced under certain conditions 195 196.
- Su Mo uses the Training Ground to master the first level of the Su Family Spear.
- Completing the training earns him a White Wax Spear 196.
Upgrade Manifestation
System v1.1 adds an upgrade-manifestation function. An upgrade opportunity can be materialized into a physical item, allowing members of the same camp to receive remote upgrade effects through it 1036.
Survival Point Classifications
| Type | Upgrade Scope | Acquisition Conditions |
|---|---|---|
| White Survival Points | Upgrades and modifies inanimate objects; cannot be used on living creatures. | Awarded through the earlier general Survival Point system before later revisions. 500 |
| Blue Survival Points | Alters living beings and can refresh special status effects. | Earned from exceptional milestones involving living creatures, reputation, or inter-racial influence. 500 550 |
| Construction Survival Points | Building upgrades with possible technological, magical, or Divine Power directions. | Obtained when construction develops; buildings provide an initial reward and continuing gains based on quality, usefulness, popularity, benefit, and potential. 1036 |
| Item Survival Points | Upgrades items through technological, magical, or Divine Power directions. | Obtained by sacrificing valuable items and through items being put to meaningful practical use. 1036 1449 |
| Technology Survival Points | Iteratively upgrades known technologies. | Obtained only through independent technological development and research breakthroughs. 1036 1437 |
| Special Survival Points | Universal currency usable for any upgrade, purpose, or special function. | Obtained through special actions, influence, positive changes in others, shared goals, and collective belief. 1036 1437 1444 |
Blue Survival Points
Blue Survival Points can directly intervene in a creature's attributes. Spending 100 Blue Survival Points on an ordinary human body can increase physical fitness by 1%, while the same amount provides only a 0.05% increase to an interstellar-level Demigod body 551.
- Su Mo spends 100 Blue Survival Points to refresh a negative status and obtains Modified Inventor 551.
- Blue Survival Points later become unavailable through ordinary acquisition after the system's revision, making War Points a partial substitute for improving territorial residents 1301.
Special Survival Points
Special Survival Points are the most flexible category and are especially valuable for upgrades unavailable to other point types 1036.
- Repairing defensive facilities and unifying a territory behind a shared goal increases Special Survival Point accumulation by 13%, equal to 260 points in one day 1444.
- Increasing City Beast occupancy requires Special Survival Points exclusively: the first 30% costs 1,000 points per 1%, while later increases become drastically more expensive 1477.
- Su Mo regards Special Survival Points as more valuable than the other categories because of their universal purchasing power 1444.
Underlying Source and Limitations
The system ultimately derives Survival Points by harvesting positive Vitality Power generated by development, progress, recovery, construction, research, manufacturing, and social change within its effective range 1436.
- Constructing buildings, developing technology, producing useful items, and curing illness all generate positive Vitality Power in varying amounts 1436.
- After v1.1, the system can harvest points across a range centered on Su Mo rather than only from actions he personally performs 1437.
- Construction and Technology Survival Points are relatively steady: new construction and research breakthroughs can regularly produce them 1437.
- Item Survival Points require an item to be used effectively; stockpiled goods do not generate points merely by existing 1437 1449.
- Special Survival Points require Su Mo's meaningful participation and impact. Simply including a larger population within the system's range does not create an exploitable supply of points 1456.
- Acquiring points raises the Game's Threat Level even if Su Mo does nothing else, while unusually large gains can provoke immediate Game intervention 1429.
- Supplying raw materials reduces the Survival Point cost of an upgrade because it lowers the amount of Vitality Power the system must provide 1429.
Related Currencies
| Currency | Primary Use | Distinction from Survival Points |
|---|---|---|
| Disaster Points | Required for crafting, trading, inventory use, private messages, blueprint appraisal, and Shelter-level upgrades. | A Game Panel currency introduced after the novice period rather than an upgrade resource harvested by the Doomsday Survival System. 36 260 |
| Territory Points | Upgrades territory resources, environment, weather, terrain, area, and buildings. | Generated by territory-status evaluations and used for territorial development rather than personal item upgrades. 500 917 |
| War Points | Strengthens humans under Su Mo's jurisdiction during the limited-time war mission. | Functions as a later means of upgrading residents after Blue Survival Points become unavailable. 1301 |
