Geography & Terrain

• The New Continent was initially selectable for territory transfer as a quadrilateral with longer north and south sides. Its outer 500 kilometers were unavailable for selection, while the interior already displayed more than 2,000 established territory markers 476.
• Early reports described natural streams, water sources, knee-high grasslands, Mutated Creatures, and relatively few high mountains, making it more hospitable than the former Wasteland and Deep Sea environments 472.
• Its apparent safety was deceptive: Su Mo's group crossed lush terrain during their rapid march, only to find their transferred territory desolate and hellish upon arrival 486.
• The Ten Thousand Mile Mountains produce severe natural signal interference through geomagnetic activity, obstructing communications across surrounding regions 585.
• The continent is surrounded by the Ocean of Stars; Tian Yuan Territory's naval focus stems from this strategic geography 789.

Five Major Plates

The Sea Splitting Earthquake ultimately divided the New Continent into five interconnected plates. It also generated new mountains, rivers, and canyons, while swallowing coastal land within 300 kilometers of the shoreline 1248.

History

Fertile Soil Era

Before becoming a wasteland, the continent was known as a fertile land overseen by countless gods. Humans, Alien Races, beasts, and fish maintained separate territories, and all creatures possessed a chance to pursue ascension 357.

The era ended in a great war that severed the individual path to godhood, leaving the Godhood Item as the remaining means of ascension 357.

Opening and Migration

The Game opened competition for access to the New Continent during the Ocean phase. A race could obtain a five-kilometer-radius teleportation right by completely exterminating another race or killing more than 500,000 members of other races 257.

This system encouraged inter-racial slaughter and resource competition, while preferential rules allowed survivors to transfer Shelters and territories to the new landmass 257 476.

When Real Survival began, the Game identified the New Continent as a land “representing Rebirth,” where Players would participate in an unprecedented conflict among all races 486.

Early Settlement and Conflict

Early arrivals found that the continent had already ceased to be an untouched frontier. Alien Races had established connections with humans, exchanged knowledge and culture, and begun gathering human populations into their broader plans 473.

The first settlers faced territorial disputes, pursuit, and resource struggles almost immediately after Alien Races arrived in force 622. Despite intermittent peace, the continent repeatedly became a battleground between human settlements, Alien Races, and native Blue Star forces 888 1019.

Expansion and Plate Splitting

Version 4.0 expanded the New Continent fivefold and introduced the Thousand Illusions Mist, which transmitted Earth objects and environments onto the continent 901.

A later Sea Splitting Earthquake expanded the landmass another five times and split it into five major plates. The resulting Giant Dragon Xian River connected the regions and transformed continental transportation 1248 1268.

Industrial Development

As human territories stabilized, the plates developed complementary economic roles:

• Southern Fire Domain — grain production.
• Northern Ice Field — minerals.
• Central Holy Land — industrial products.
• Western Wilderness — daily necessities. 1536

Merchant groups, waterways, railways, and planned air routes connected territories that had once been isolated by extreme distances and dangerous terrain 1272 1536.

Game Systems

Territory Transfer

• Territory transfer uses map-based area selection; the outer 500-kilometer border was initially prohibited 476.
• Upon Su Mo's transfer, the Game recorded his territory at coordinate 358.252, 1,629 kilometers from his then-current location 486.
• Subordinate Players were automatically placed under their territory leader's command and received shared territory bonuses 486.

Shelter Restrictions

Under the Real Survival rules, new buildings, ruins, scenes, and environmental placements were exclusive to the New Continent 415.

• Players who leave the permitted radius around a placed Shelter for over 24 hours risk having its core reset to Level 1.
• The permitted radius increases with Shelter level: 50 kilometers at Level 1, 70 kilometers at Level 2, and 90 kilometers at Level 3. 415

Disaster Penalties

• A Player in unowned territory causes disaster severity to increase by 50% within a three-kilometer radius around them.
• The affected area moves with the Player until they enter a territory. 585

Inhabitants & Settlement

Four major populations coexist on the New Continent:

• Earth Humans — Game Players who migrated from Earth.
• Blue Star Humans — native human populations without Game Panels.
• Blue Star Radiation Creatures — creatures altered by disasters.
• Alien Race Creatures — diverse non-human races with competing territories. 1019

Human settlement expanded through successive migration waves from the Deep Sea. Many late arrivals initially concentrated near the coastline before moving inland to seek established territories, routes, and protection 925 1101.

Blue Star humans and Earth humans formed both cooperative and hostile relationships. Qinggang City became an example of mutual cooperation, while Hulai City remained controlled by an increasingly isolated Central Intelligence Brain 1557.

Infrastructure & Trade

Giant Dragon Xian River

The Giant Dragon Xian River formed during the Sea Splitting Earthquake and runs through the five major plates 1268.

• It is hundreds of meters wide in places and supports cargo freighters, frigates, guerrilla boats, and command ships 1271.
• Settlements along its route receive natural levees, enabling the construction of docks and piers 1285.
• Its waterways reduced the isolation of territories that had previously struggled to cross even a few hundred kilometers overland 1272.

Continental Networks

• The “All the Stars in the Sky” plan positioned Tian Yuan Territory as a dispatch and allocation center for inter-territory cooperation 1271.
• Merchant groups became a primary link between the plates, transporting bulk grain, minerals, industrial goods, and consumer supplies 1536.
• Tian Yuan Territory and Dragon Flag Territory began constructing a railway, while airport terminals and air routes were also planned 1536.
• Hulai City later became the center of a quantum network that achieved initial coverage across the Southern Plate in just over a month 1560.
