Function in Cultivation

A ring's attainable age is limited by the user's physique and Spiritual Power. These factors determine how much ring power can be endured and are specifically strengthened through cultivation methods, pills, and body-tempering resources 3 59 100.

Acquisition Methods

Hunting and absorption

The conventional method is to hunt a compatible soul beast and absorb its ring. Higher-aged beasts are difficult to hunt without powerful backing, and absorption is restricted by the recipient's physical endurance 3.

God-bestowed Soul Rings allow the user to condense a ring independently. Their final age depends on the absorber's aptitude and can be enhanced by bound disciples 154 159.

Disciple-Bound Soul Ring Slots

Jiang Yunzhou's system permits each Soul Ring slot to be bound to a personal disciple. The bound ring's age limit dynamically equals the combined age limits of that disciple's Soul Rings 3.

Jiang Yunzhou proposes the Spirit Pagoda as a system for cooperation between humans and soul beasts. It would gather soul beasts nearing death or unable to break through, then transform their souls into evolvable Soul Rings rather than requiring their deaths through hunting 259.
