Gu Yuena was the injured Silver Dragon King and Lord of Soul Beasts. When she met Jiang Yunzhou in human form, she asked him to give her a name; he named her “Gu Yuena,” which she immediately accepted as her own. She declined his offer to become his disciple but permitted him to ask her subordinates, Zi Ji and Bi Ji, to do so. 224

Initially wary of Jiang Yunzhou and his influence over soul beasts, Gu Yuena was conflicted by her growing attraction to him and by the possibility that he could threaten her race.
