Ash’s growing darkness drove him to seize Arisu and challenge the Pretty Cure, while Regina and Mana tried to keep their friends together. His latest game targeted Makoto’s voice and forced Makoto and Mirai to confront a rigged singing contest, but the Pretty Cure were defeated before the deadline.

• Ash tracked Aguri down, learned she was a former lone Precure, and later helped her and Ruri overcome a Jikochu with the ToQgers and Cure Black and Cure White.
• Ash let Dark Dragreder devour Gula, then helped Regina choose to trust Mana and led the Pretty Cure into the Poker Kingdom to rescue Princess Ann.
• Ash fought the King of Jikochu, and Regina used a Survival card to free them from the King’s web before Ash drove her away from the battle.
• Jikochu Progenitor pierced Ash’s heart and deck, but Ash recovered as Another Ryuga and attacked the Pretty Cure, defeating them and abducting Arisu.
• Ash declared himself boss of the Selfish Organization and told Arisu she could return home only if she distanced herself from Mana and the others.
• Ash launched a game in which his Jikochu Plus would steal Makoto’s voice, and the Pretty Cure followed clues to the television station and singer Tachibana Mirai.
• Mirai and the producer revealed the scheme to rig the contest by stealing Makoto’s voice, and Mirai rejected the plan and destroyed her microphone, releasing Jikochu Plus.
• Ash’s enhanced Jikochu defeated Makoto, Ai, and Rikka before exploding, and Ash challenged Makoto to reconsider what singing meant to her.

Ash captured Makoto and Rikka before releasing the captives to prepare for another battle, while the girls discovered that the Jikochu Progenitor was inside him. After Angie defeated him, Ash helped rescue the Pretty Cure from Matthew’s memory world, where Mana stopped him from killing himself and brought him back.

• Ash defeated and captured Makoto and Rikka, leaving Ai devastated until Regina helped her resolve to fight again.
• Rikka refused a demand to kill Ash after learning that the Jikochu Progenitor was inside him, and Ash later released her and the other captives.
• The girls obtained the Three Divine Instruments and learned that Regina, Aguri, and Ai-chan had originated as Princess Ann.
• Regina, Aguri, and Ai-chan united as Angie, who defeated Ash and washed away Another Ryuga’s darkness.
• Ash entered Matthew’s giant whale to rescue the captured Pretty Cure and escaped a memory of his childhood before helping Makoto and Aguri.
• The Pretty Cure rejected their illusory pasts, and Ai recognized Matthew as Marlow before her apology restored him to his small-dog form.
• Ash destroyed his false birthday celebration and learned that the Jikochu Progenitor had influenced him through his Core Medal, while Ai entered his dream to save him.
• Mana stopped Ash from killing himself and returned with him to the others, after which Ash confronted a speaking clarinet that accused Maro of being Matthew.

After helping the Pretty Cure defeat the Jikochu Progenitor, Ash died and left his friends to mourn him. He later appeared in Hope City, where he joined the Desert Apostles while secretly working to strengthen the new Pretty Cure.

• Ash followed the Clarinet into the future, helped Ai and the Cures destroy it, and fought Ai in the Mirror World until she embraced him and brought him back from the darkness.
• Ash admitted his past and pain to Ai and her friends, accepted their friendship, and chose to live, then settled into life with Ai and the others.
• Ash and the Pretty Cure confronted Levi and the revived Jikochu Progenitor, and Ash reclaimed Ai’s Ling Shen Xin before awakening as Ryuga heart.
• Ash and Cure Heart fought the Progenitor together, but Ash died after freeing Ling Shen Xin and releasing Dark Dragreder and the bluebird.
• Ai and the others mourned Ash and continued their lives, while Regina and Mana held onto the hope that they would meet him again.
• Ash returned to Hope City and met Hanasaki Rei and Kurumi Erika, then fought them as Kamen Rider Demons to push them to grow stronger.
• Ash joined the Desert Apostles as Timons, while Yuri brought Rei and Erika to Nasta Café and Ash offered them the café as their secret base.
• Ash defeated Rei and Erika again, took their Heart Seed, and later agreed to let them work at Nasta Café while sending Rei to tend the Gijera flower.

Ash befriended Dark Precure, helped Yuri and Itsuki face painful truths, and fought Eddie after the traveler arrived from another world. Eddie’s doubts led Scorpina Lina to turn his Heart Flower into a Desertrian, leaving Rei and Erika fighting to save him as Yuri stood against Timons.

• Ash befriended Dark Precure and encouraged her to investigate her doubts about Cure Moonlight for herself.
• Yuri transformed into Kamen Rider Timons to protect Rei and Erika, but Dark Precure defeated her before Ash stopped Dark Precure from killing her.
• Kain gained a physical form and Yuri recognized his resemblance to Cologne, while Ash comforted Yuri and encouraged Rei and Erika after their defeat.
• Ash challenged Itsuki to examine why she practiced martial arts, and Itsuki rediscovered her love for Meidoin-ryu before helping the Pretty Cures defeat a Desertrian.
• Kaoruko revealed that she had once been a Pretty Cure, while Eddie arrived in Hope Flower City and transformed into Ryukendo to fight Ash.
• Ash defeated Eddie and brought him to the café, where Eddie explained that he had stolen SCSO authorization after warning of darkness spreading between worlds.
• Eddie left the café in despair, and Scorpina Lina captured him and turned his Heart Flower into a dragon-shaped Desertrian.
• Rei and Erika fought to save Eddie as Ash challenged them, but Yuri blocked Timons’s attack and vowed that Pretty Cure would defeat him.
