Itsuki became Cure Sunshine, while Ash tested Dune’s power and pushed Rei and Erika through a bitter conflict that they eventually resolved. Yuri’s anger at Ash’s emotional distance led into the arrival of the Imagin, whose strange possessions left Ash facing a possessed Rei.

• Ash returned the Heart Seeds, and the girls restored the Heart Tree, where a newborn fairy awakened as Dark Precure vowed to find it.
• Popuri sought a third Pretty Cure, and Itsuki refused until Ash transformed her brother Kou into a monster with a Dune-powered stamp.
• Itsuki accepted the Shining Perfume Bottle, became Cure Sunshine, and purified Kou, while Dark Precure declared war on the Pretty Cure.
• Dark Precure abandoned her attack on the Heart Tree after Ash collapsed, and Ash later failed to find a way to control the stamp’s demonic power.
• Erika grew closer to Ash, admitted her feelings, and embraced him, but Rei saw them and ended their friendship in anger.
• Ash secretly challenged Rei, Erika, and Itsuki, trapping the first two while Itsuki fought him, until Rei and Erika reconciled and combined their powers against him.

Ash helped Yuri recover her past and fight Dark Precure, then turned against the Pretty Cure to pursue his plan and collect Dark Echo. The arc ended as a giant monster emerged and pollen from yellow flowers put Hope Flower City to sleep.

• Ash took Yuri into the past to stop her from changing the day she became Pretty Cure, helped her reconnect with Cologne, and fought beside her as Cure Moonlight against Dark Precure and the Desert Apostles.
• Yuri regained her Heart Seed and defeated Dark Precure, while Ash carried the defeated girl away as Timons and later convinced her to join him.
• Ash stole Heart Seeds, fought Yuri as Kamen Rider Demons, and left her devastated after telling her his task was complete.
• The Pretty Cure obtained the Heartbreak Mirage Mirror, but it failed to change Ash’s allegiance, and Ash revealed that he had chosen not to save Yuri from Little Dark six months earlier.
• Ash used Rei’s Sin Stamp to become Kamen Rider Scarlet Demons, revealed that he had used Rei and Yuri to complete his transformation, and defeated the four Pretty Cure.

Ash challenged the Pretty Cures, confronted his ties to them, and fought Dune while Yuri and Dark Precure’s battle ended in both girls’ survival. Ash left before Christmas, and Dune launched a massive attack on Earth as the Pretty Cures struggled without him.

• Ash challenged the Pretty Cures after Gijera’s dream pollen spread, and Rei awakened Gijera by accepting her past and inviting her to fight alongside them.
• The Pretty Cures defeated Ash with their combined power, but Shaback appeared and Ash revealed that he was Tsukikage Eimei, Yuri’s father, and that Dark Precure was Yuri’s blood sister.
• Dark Precure chose to duel Yuri, and the two nearly died from their wounds before Ash and Kain operated on them and saved them both.
• Yuri confronted Ash about using the girls, then kissed him instead of choosing to defeat him or let him go, and she later returned to the others carrying Dark Precure.
• Ash said goodbye to Rei and the others, refused Rei’s confession, and left as the city became a desert wasteland.
• Ash fought Dune, who severed his right arm, but Ash counterattacked with Kain’s help and unleashed Scarlet Demons Full Nova.
• Dark Precure reunited with Eimei and gave him Ash’s purple gears, while Yuri offered her cake as a temporary truce.

The Pretty Cure defeated Dune with Ash’s help, but Ash died after saying goodbye to them. Returned to life, he tried to prevent a future tragedy by fighting the Smile Precure, then joined them after they showed him another way forward.

• Cure Flower and Tsukikage Eimei reinforced the Pretty Cure, and Eimei summoned giant robots to defend Earth while the girls traveled to Planet Castle.
• The Pretty Cure defeated the Desert Apostles’ officers, but Dark Precure gave Dune the necklace sealing his darkness in exchange for Ash, and Dune showed Rei and Yuri Ash’s damaged Driver.
• Rei stopped Yuri from accepting Dune’s offer to save Ash, and the Pretty Cure defeated Dune and destroyed Planet Castle, though Ash’s fragment fell toward Earth.
• Eddie rescued Ash and Dark Precure, and Ash returned Dark Precure to the Heart Tree before using the Dark Evolver to radiate immense light.
• Ash joined the Pretty Cure against gigantic Dune, and their combined hearts formed Mugen Silhouette, which defeated Dune and restored the damaged planets.
