"Ha ha ha! Fake! It's all fake!"
"There's no Uchiha Madara in this world! No Sage of Six Paths! And certainly no Otsutsuki Kaguya!"
Beneath the crimson blood moon, in the heart of the Fourth Shinobi World War battlefield, Uzumaki Menma stood atop the Black Nine-Tails' head and laughed wildly as eighty thousand Shinobi Allied Forces surrounded him.
The many Shinobi World powerhouses below wore grim expressions. Over the past two years, they had grown used to this madman who kept claiming that "this world is fake."
After laughing himself out, Uzumaki Menma removed the White Three-Eyed Fox Mask from his face, feeling the transplanted Sharingan pulse and the world's rejection of him.
Fifteen years had passed since he transmigrated into this world.
He had thought he was Uzumaki Naruto, only to discover that he was Uzumaki Menma. His parents, Namikaze Minato and Uzumaki Kushina, were both alive as well, making Menma realize that the world he was in was nothing more than a false "Limited Tsukuyomi" world.
In order to find a way out, he had spent more than a decade constantly growing stronger, gathering all kinds of Kekkei Genkai and secret techniques. He had even transplanted a pair of Three-Tomoe Sharingan into himself, subdued the Black Nine-Tails, and become a Super-Kage Level powerhouse.
Yet no matter how hard he searched, he could not find any trace or legend of Uchiha Madara, the Sage of Six Paths, or Otsutsuki Kaguya in this world.
So Uzumaki Menma gave each of the Five Great Shinobi Villages a Great Spiraling Ring and launched the Fourth Shinobi World War.
The Five Great Shinobi Villages assembled eighty thousand Shinobi Allied Forces, and Uzumaki Menma took the opportunity to expose the truth of this world.
No matter how many of those eighty thousand shinobi believed him, this false world had already begun rejecting him.
Feeling the "Infinite Tsukuyomi world" rejecting him more and more fiercely, Uzumaki Menma gazed at the white glow spreading across his body with delight.
He was about to leave this world.
He just did not know what point in the Naruto world he would awaken in—or whether it was already the late stages of the Fourth Shinobi World War's Infinite Tsukuyomi.
"This is my parting gift to this world." A dark purple sphere of energy condensed in Uzumaki Menma's right hand. At its core was highly concentrated dark-nature chakra, while a ring of Wind Release chakra formed a stellar halo around it.
As the Great Spiraling Ring struck the ground, white light shot into the sky, and a massive explosion swallowed over half the battlefield and tens of thousands of shinobi!
Uzumaki Menma also vanished into the white light.
The night of October 10th, Konoha Year 51.
Inside a secret delivery room covered in barriers within the forest outside the Hidden Leaf Village, Uzumaki Menma slowly opened his eyes.
"As expected of the Yellow Flash."
"But what are you going to do next?"
A voice rang out from very close by.
Uzumaki Menma's eyes widened as he saw the Tiger-Striped Mask Man holding him in one arm.
He turned his head slightly and saw Namikaze Minato holding a blond infant in his arms.
"Minato!" Uzumaki Kushina wailed from the bed not far away.
"The Night of the Nine-Tails?"
"Wait, Namikaze Minato is holding Naruto. Then who am I?"
Before he had time to think, the Explosive Tags left behind by the masked man detonated, blasting Namikaze Minato out of the room.
At the instant of the explosion, Uchiha Obito took Menma and Kushina into the Kamui Dimension.
"Menma!" Inside the Kamui Dimension, Kushina struggled to get up, but her entire body was weak from having just given birth.
Uchiha Obito, wearing the Tiger-Striped Mask, swung two kunai attached to chains and bound Kushina in place.
Then he lowered his head and looked at the infant in his hands.
"Not crying or fussing, huh?" Uchiha Obito suddenly felt that simply killing this infant would be rather boring.
A bag of rice, how many floors!
He wanted Minato-sensei to experience the pain of losing someone dear!
What if he raised this child into a villain, then made him destroy Konoha?
That sounded like a pretty good game.
Thinking of the Fourth Hokage's two sons killing each other more than a decade later, the corners of Uchiha Obito's mouth curled up beneath his Tiger-Striped Mask.
"But keeping him by my side and raising him for over a decade is still too slow."
Obito had no interest in playing house with a child.
So, after glancing at Kushina-sensei, Uchiha Obito's body began to be swallowed by Kamui.
When he appeared again, he was already outside the Orphanage on the outskirts of Konoha.
"Menma?" Uchiha Obito looked at the infant staring at him with large azure eyes and recalled the name Kushina-sensei had called out earlier.
After leaving a Kamui marker on Menma and writing Menma's name on a piece of paper, Uchiha Obito placed the swaddled infant at the Orphanage entrance.
Uchiha Obito was confident that Namikaze Minato and Uzumaki Kushina would not live to see tomorrow.
"In ten years, I'll come find you."
With that, Uchiha Obito slipped into the Kamui Dimension.
"No, at least knock on the door for me!" Watching Obito leave just like that and abandon him at the Orphanage entrance in the freezing wind, Menma nearly broke down.
The cold night wind lashed against his face, yet he was only a newborn infant. He could not move, and there was not a trace of chakra in his body. All he could do was move his mouth and cry with all his might.
Boom!
In distant Konoha, a massive Nine-Tails was summoned and began rampaging through the village.
In an instant, all of Konoha was thrown into chaos. Many ordinary people jolted awake from their sleep and fled frantically toward the village's shelters, while the shinobi rushed to the front lines in an attempt to stop the Nine-Tails.
"Director, why is it so noisy outside? Did something happen in the village?" A childish voice sounded at the Orphanage entrance.
Creak—
The gate opened, and Yakushi Nonō emerged in a black-and-white nun's habit with a gray-haired child beside her.
"Ah!" Upon seeing the crying infant on the ground outside, Yakushi Nonō hurried over and picked him up.
"Is he an abandoned baby?" Kabuto walked up from behind, looking at the infant who had stopped crying in the director's arms before glancing around.
Yakushi Nonō checked the swaddling cloth and found a clumsily written note.
"Menma... is that his name?" Yakushi Nonō murmured.
In the direction of Konoha, a colossal black shadow flickered in and out of view through the night, its terrifying coercion palpable even from far away.
Seeing those nine tails, Yakushi Nonō, who had participated in many wars and gathered intelligence from shinobi villages across the nations, had already guessed that a Jinchuriki might have lost control.
She quickly had Yakushi Kabuto wake the children at the Orphanage and prepared to take them to the nearest emergency shelter.
It was not until the next day, after Yakushi Nonō had settled the children and entered the village to gather supplies, that she saw the heavily damaged village and the villagers grieving in anguish over their lost loved ones.
After asking around repeatedly, she finally learned of the Nine-Tails Incident the night before, as well as the news that the Fourth Hokage and his wife had died in battle.
