Menma was transported to the past, confronted Jigen and other threats, and warned Akatsuki about the forces manipulating their lives. After Jigen escaped Amegakure, Menma followed him to a dimension containing the Ten-Tails, where their battle continued.

• Uchiha Taichi’s squad defeated Tomiyama’s bandits, while Jiraiya learned from Shisui that Asura had intervened to stop the planned Uchiha extermination.
• Menma brought Ajisai to the Land of Stars, where she chose to stay, then showed Jiraiya how new farming methods had improved people’s lives.
• Menma was swept into the past by the Dragon Vein and confronted Minato, Jiraiya, and Kakashi in Konoha before traveling to the moon and taking the Giant Tenseigan’s power.
• Menma intervened in Minato’s clash with A and Killer B, then traveled through the Land of Grass and helped Fuka escape Kusagakure ninja.
• Menma exposed the White Zetsu spying on Yahiko, Konan, and Nagato, then found Jigen at Amado’s repair shop and fought him after easing Akebi’s illness.
• Jigen defeated Hanzo and his Anbu, but Menma stopped him from capturing Fuka and continued fighting him as Akatsuki witnessed Hanzo’s death.
• Jigen escaped to a separate dimension and drained chakra from the chained Ten-Tails, while Menma followed and marked the altar with a Flying Thunder God formula.
• Jigen summoned phantom Otsutsuki to attack Menma, but Menma evaded them beyond the altar’s boundary and taunted Jigen as their battle continued.

Menma defeated Isshiki and Madara, reshaped Amegakure, and briefly traveled with Naruto to another time before returning to guide Hikari’s Rinnegan training. In Konoha, Naruto, Menma, and Hinata formed Team 7 under Kakashi and began their survival test with a coordinated assault.

• Menma defeated Isshiki, rescued Nagato, and helped Yahiko rebuild Amegakure before defeating Madara and sealing his remains and Rinnegan.
• Menma warned Yahiko, Konan, and Nagato that war could reach the Land of Rain, then traveled to Rōran, where he joined Minato and Naruto in defeating Anrokuzan and destroying the Dragon Vein.
• Menma returned to his world, negotiated with Black Zetsu for White Zetsu test subjects, and oversaw Hikari’s transformation into a Six-Tomoe Rinnegan user.
• Menma trained Hikari and later returned to Konoha, where Jiraiya met him and Naruto, and Hiruzen assigned Kakashi to instruct Naruto, Menma, and Hinata.
• Naruto graduated from the Academy, but Mizuki tricked him into stealing the Scroll of Sealing, and Menma stopped Mizuki, exposed his Akatsuki ties, and reassured Naruto.
• Iruka assigned Naruto, Menma, and Hinata to Team 7, and Kakashi became their instructor after they pranked him with an eraser trap.
• Kakashi began Team 7’s bell test, and Naruto, Menma, and Hinata coordinated clones, substitutions, close combat, and explosive tags to pressure him.

Menma prepared the Land of Stars for the joint Chunin Exams while Sasuke and Boruto arrived in a divergent past and discovered how much the world had changed. Team 7 began an escort mission to the Land of Waves, where Zabuza and Aoi Rokushō prepared to attack them.

• Kakashi passed Naruto, Menma, and Hinata after Menma explained the bell test’s purpose, officially forming Team 7.
• Menma kept a thousand dormant White Zetsu for research, while Gaara watched Morishita Shun-jin defeat Uchiha Taichi and retain Hiramekarei.
• Menma helped arrange the joint Chunin Exams, and Shisui accepted a mission to infiltrate Konoha during Orochimaru’s planned attack and reclaim his lost eye.
• Sasuke and Boruto arrived in a changed past, encountered Menma, and learned from Jiraiya that the Uchiha and Hyuga clans had defected to the Land of Stars.
• Menma persuaded Hiruzen to give Team 7 a C-rank escort mission, and Tazuna led them toward the Land of Waves as a stranger spotted Naruto from the sky.
• Gozu and Meizu ambushed Team 7, but Menma incapacitated them, and Kakashi raised the mission to B-rank after Tazuna admitted the danger had been concealed.
• Team 7 traveled by boat to the Land of Waves while Sasuke, Sai, and Uzuki Yugao followed secretly, and Jiraiya took charge of the captured Demon Brothers.
• Zabuza and Aoi Rokushō drove Matsuo away and planned to kill Tazuna and Team 7’s Genin in two days while Zabuza dealt with Kakashi.

Menma and his allies defeated the threats in the Land of Waves, then returned to Konoha for the Chunin Exams. As the exams began, Sasuke faced Gaara, who claimed Mikoto Uchiha had survived and that Konoha had left Sasuke behind.

• Menma transformed with a golden Tenseigan to drive Urashiki away, then collapsed as Jiraiya began training Naruto to protect him and their friends.
• Hinata defeated Aoi Rokushō, while Yuto returned to the Land of Waves and renewed the resistance against Matsuo.
• Idasuke killed Zabuza at the Great Bridge, and Karin, Kurotsuchi, and Ranmaru helped defeat Matsuo’s samurai before the villagers tried and executed Matsuo.
• The Konoha and Land of Stars squads returned to Konoha, where Shisui’s arrival unsettled Sasuke and Danzō ordered surveillance of the Land of Stars delegation.
• Naruto, Menma, and Hinata entered the Chunin Exams, passed Ibiki’s written test, and began the Forest of Death with an Earth Scroll.
• Menma’s team defeated Kusagakure ninja, obtained a Heaven Scroll, and encountered Orochimaru, whom Menma warned not to target his companions.
• Gaara ambushed Sasuke’s team, trapped Sasuke in sand, and revealed that his adoptive mother was Mikoto Uchiha, whom Shisui had rescued with most of the Uchiha.
• Sasuke rejected Gaara’s claim that Konoha had left him behind and awakened a third tomoe in his Sharingan.
