Ronglin endured the Sea of Thunderclouds, returned to find his forces fractured after rumors of his death, and began restoring order while preparing to face the Four Emperors. After rejecting Sabo’s alliance offer, he returned to Ashil Kingdom and formally established the Star Alliance.

• Ronglin refused Kaido’s recruitment and trained in the Sea of Thunderclouds, gradually learning to control Overwhelming Body and combine elemental power with his attacks.
• Ronglin defended a town from Teahog, killed him, promised to protect the civilians, and recruited Capone Bege into his forces.
• Ronglin learned that Bilida had disappeared at sea while protecting Hawkins and that Gecko Moria had taken charge of the Second Fleet during his absence.

Ronglin organized the Star Alliance’s fleets and tested Caesar’s Artificial Devil Fruits while investigating the Pirate Alliance’s hidden activity. He drew the Marines and the Four Emperors away, then used Eustass Kid and Killer to provoke the enemy and claimed their island for the Star Alliance.

• Hawkins and Capone’s fleets defeated the Pirate Alliance and Blackbeard’s forces, capturing Shiryu while the Pirate Alliance’s Second Fleet escaped.

Ronglin defeated Drake and brought him and his crew into the Star Alliance as the Alliance fought the Four Emperors. After Ade ambushed Ronglin and the Marines trapped Shiryu’s force, Ronglin uncovered a Marine fleet and stayed behind to face its Admiral candidates while the Fourth Fleet retreated.

• Ronglin defeated Drake and offered him a place in the Star Alliance, and Drake accepted after weighing his uncertain future.
• Ronglin assigned Drake to protect a merchant ship as the Star Alliance’s fleets struck Kaido and Charlotte Linlin’s forces, while Hawkins warned of suspicious troop movements.
• At an auction house, Ronglin fought Ade, learned that the Pirate Alliance had supplied intelligence about Shiryu, and killed Ade with Black Flame.
• Jazz confronted gangsters attacking the auction house, and Ronglin ordered Capone to take the captured recruits away before their punishment.
