Background / History

While Wu Tian was breaking through as a Huodou, he fused the twelfth-grade divine ability seed Shadow Casting Golden Pupils and Mars-related power into his Inner Core. The resulting metamorphosis offered three paths: Mars Star God, Golden-winged Great Roc, or Golden Crow. He chose the Golden Crow Bloodline despite its karmic ties to Da Yi’s lineage, the Sun-Shooting Arrow, the Heaven-Shaking Bow, and the Great Sun Tathagata Buddha. 321 322

The transformation created a new Mars-associated star in the Fourth Heaven. The newborn Golden Crow emerged as a three-legged divine bird of light and Solar True Fire, then saved Bai Qian from the Tiger Subduing Arhat. Its speed and flames overwhelmed the Dragon Subduing and Tiger Subduing Arhats; it later killed both, making Buddhism an enduring enemy. 325 326 380

After escaping into the Azure Nether Heavenly River, the Golden Crow became an independent Dharma Form retained by Wu Tian. It cultivated alongside the Hou Yi Dharma Form: Hou Yi’s instinctive hunting pressure refined the Golden Crow, while the Golden Crow’s radiance nourished Hou Yi’s Bloodline. 339 342

During the Investiture of the Gods, the Golden Crow left the Mars Star Mansion to seek a position on the Heaven Ranking. It approached Kong Lingxuan for Phoenix Clan support, stole and refined D Dingguang Bodhisattva’s Treasure Fan into a Yin Yang Banana Tree Treasure Leaf, and awakened Step on Time rather than pursuing a further Bloodline mutation. 379 380 382

The Golden Crow ascended its Natal Star to the Seventh Heaven, attained Great Sage, sealed D Dingguang inside his own Twelfth Grade Lotus Platform, and swept the Heaven Ranking. It won 108 consecutive battles with a single punch per opponent before being enfeoffed as the Heavenly Court Heavenly Emperor and Star Lord of Mao Ri. 385 386 387 388

Its rise drew it into Kunlun’s struggle over the Heavenly Emperor position. It defeated Jun Wenxian, survived Woman in Red’s karmic Immortal-Slaying Flying Knife by stepping outside the River of Time, and later reached the Nine Heavens during a battle with Guanyin. 390 393 396

After learning that it possessed the foundation of a future Golden Immortal, the Golden Crow accepted Chixiao’s protection and began cultivating the Mysterious Yellow Undying Body. When the Buddha targeted its Natal Star, it used the Mysterious Yellow Pagoda to remove the star from danger. 415 416 418 419

The Golden Crow became the Great Sun Emperor by refining its Natal Star with the Mysterious Yellow Pagoda and Buddha’s severed palm. It then allied with Chixiao against Shakyamuni, seeking to reclaim the Great Sun Authority held by Buddhism. 424 425

It later took control of Spirit Mountain in Tathagata Ancestor’s name, restored its ruined foundation with the Seven Treasures Wondrous Art, rebuilt the Great Thunder Sound Temple, and established a new Buddhist order. The Golden Crow is exceptionally ambitious. From its earliest transformation, it considers pursuing the Sun Star Lord and eventually the Heavenly Emperor’s position; after gaining strength, it follows through by claiming both heavenly authority and an independent Buddhist foundation. 322 377 388 433

It is audacious and provocative, openly expressing interest in the Lord of Yellow Heaven before Kong Lingxuan and taunting opponents who underestimate it. 380 381 Its confidence is supported by overwhelming combat power, though it remains calculating when facing Golden Immortal-level threats. 386 419
