Bai Jiu Yi was raised by Bai Qianluo, who accepted her as a disciple after searching for Jiang Shi’s reincarnation for ten thousand years. Their bond became one of mutual support, with Bai Qianluo effectively serving as both master and maternal figure to her disciple 486 708.

As a young White Fox, Bai Yi participated in Bai Qianluo’s “game” involving the mortal Jiang Lin. Though she initially dismissed him as an annoyance, she watched him leave alone through the snow after Bai Qianluo erased his memories of her. When Jiang Lin nearly died from cold and hunger, Bai Yi considered saving him, only for two Nascent Soul cultivators to reach him first 122.
