Background / History

Originating from the Solar God Star, Di Jun won the regard of many Great Luo Golden Immortals by illuminating the world as a sun god. In an earlier Heavenly Court, he served as an apparent coordinator of factions but secretly worked as a censor and intelligence chief, gathering evidence against divine beings who overstepped their authority 328 406 412.

Hongjun invited Di Jun to lead the Heavenly Court of the current era. Di Jun later describes the appointment as a way to obtain cultivation resources for himself and his younger brother, Tai Yi: he initially regarded the throne as a job rather than a cause of his own. Under his rule, the Yao Race became a unified military force with a common merit system 287 830.

Di Jun also took up the Human Race’s White Emperor identity, an arrangement he concealed even from his wives until he explained his plans for their children. He and Eastern Hua Dijun, or Dong Hua, covered for one another while retaining opposing interests. Di Jun prepared Human Race identities and ten possible divine systems as alternatives for his children if the Heavenly Court fell 486.

Personality

Di Jun is patient, pragmatic, and willing to work across rival factions. He cultivates loyalty within the Heavenly Court while preparing to sever its dependence on Hongjun. His schemes range from covert intelligence work to military organization and the creation of a new institution from Heavenly Court and Eastern Yi assets 414 426 765.

His calculations have limits where his family is concerned. He makes elaborate provisions for his children, yet also sends his Imperial Princes into danger as part of a military plan, provoking Xihe’s anger. Tai Yi’s death finally breaks Di Jun’s habitual composure: he turns against Tai Hao and sacrifices his accumulated gains to preserve his brother’s legacy and the independence of their era 486 639 830.
