Background
Feng Xi was a man from Earth before being reborn in the Primordial Era as a Lesser Witch. Though his initial body possessed power sufficient to destroy a planet, he learned that such strength was merely standard equipment for an ordinary Witch Clan member. He was consequently thrust into the Witch-Demon Era, an age defined by conflict between the Witch Clan and the Yao Race. 2
His assumptions about the Primordial Era were quickly overturned when Houtu declared that the Witch Clan was the Human Race's elite force and principal army of external conquest. Feng Xi subsequently became wary of the historical knowledge he had carried from Earth, suspecting that powerful Great Luo beings could have altered or fabricated the history available to later generations. 2 3
After centuries of study in the Witch Clan library and instruction from the Ancestral Witches, Feng Xi discovered Bai Ze's forbidden Chronicles of the Primordial Era. Its excessively flattering portrayal of Innate Divine Beings sharpened his suspicion that history had been edited by its victors. 15 16
Fuxi later selected Feng Xi as a long-term agent and bestowed the Three Virtues Dao Fruit at a carefully chosen moment, intending him to assist Nuwa and stabilize the Human Race. Houtu simultaneously assigned Feng Xi to infiltrate the Feng Clan and eventually become Feng Hou, placing him between competing powers and loyalties. 228 231
Personality
Feng Xi is cautious, pragmatic, and intensely survival-oriented. Even when tempted by grand ambitions, he repeatedly favors retreat, concealment, and long-term preparation over openly challenging opponents beyond his station. 74 205
He is a skilled flatterer who openly tailors praise to powerful superiors, particularly Houtu and Nuwa. His shamelessness is paired with political awareness: he recognizes that visible loyalty, useful results, and the support of powerful patrons are essential to survival in the Primordial Era. 138 447 510
Behind his outwardly loyal and courteous demeanor, Feng Xi is an opportunistic strategist willing to employ propaganda, manipulation, misinformation, and factional conflict to achieve larger objectives. He nevertheless frames these actions as service to the Human Dao, the Witch Clan, or the greater good. 112 164 445 718
